DH- "Map Man" has a freaky, but useful internal GPS in his head. Claims he doesn't like Disney all that much but he initiated this trip. Also a swift walker.
DD " Mouth All Mighty" Yeah she's chatty. We should have thought that sibling thing out more. Age 7 going on 30. Loves WDW and Mickey.
Has this thing about getting Excellent service. Can walk swiftly when she needs to.
DC - Grace the cat 11 months old. She is going to "cat camp". This place is the Grand Floridian for cats.
Tuesday 8/16- Mouth and I took Grace to her Cat resort in the morning and
with promises from Mouth to send a postcard, we left her there. On the way to the store Mouth was reading me the address and phone number off the Cat Hotel card, the phone number made me think of that song 867-5309, which I stupidly taught her some of and then heard a version of it with Grace's cat hotel phone number for the next several days. Remember that song you and I will hear it again later. Picked up some last minute stuff at the store and went home to see if Map Man was up yet. He had worked all night so we left for Portsmith about 12 pm. No problems on the way down except Mouth was in rare form and talked so much our ears may have been bleeding. Checked in to the Airport hotel got some Subway, visited the pool and went to bed! Up at 5 for our 6:30 flight with Southwest, no problems there, arived on time about 10:35 we grabed our bags and headed to the Emerald Isle, we had an basic intemdiate car and in Emerald you just pick out one and drive off, much faster! There was one burnt orange one amonst all the basic white and red ones, and we figured ugly as it was it would be easy to find. So into the orange pumpkin and off to the Wilderness Lodge! Map Man got us to WDW with no problems and we checked in, our room was ready, we got upgraded to courtyard from woods view, we overlooked the quiet pool. Everything was very nice and really clean. I realized I had made the first mistake of the trip, the bag with our suits and the Mickey gifts was with the luggage people. Mouth was upset she wanted to swim ASAP! And Mickey hadn't left her anything. I told her we were technically checked in early and Mickey was probably running behind, by the time we had lunch the bags would show up and then we'd swim. We went to Roaring Forks, Mouth got Chicken nuggets and Map Man and I got a cheese buger we didn't want to eat too much as we were going to Hollywood and Vine later for the Fantasmic package. I went back up to the room first and the luggage guy came and also magically so did Mickey! When Mouth got back we got our suits on and then she noticed a bag on her bed with a note and some presents from Mickey she was very happy her buddy still remembered her!After our swim we headed over to MGM for Dinner and Fantasmic. But first Mouth was going to ride RNR she was excited she was finally big enough!
She loves Thunder Mountain and every ride she has ever been on except TOT
so I thought she'd love it- We got a fast pass and before long it was time to ride. She looked a little nervous but ready to go! She even said she thought she'd try TOT again after this! Mouth was going to sit with me, as we sat at the gate she smiled nervously at me and that was the last I saw of her face! Next I looked over she was slumped down, head totally down. All I could think of was that poor kid on Mission Space, I was freaked out but you can't do much upside down in the dark going like a bat out of hell. I yelled to her. no response- Yelled and poked and got a "what!" "Are you ok?" A very terse "yes" came back. OK then, scarred for life, but not dead, I can live with that. We got off and she didn't even speak for a minute or so and then she just burried her head in my leg. Her picture was pretty funny and now she was off she could start to smile a little, she just hated it! She bent over so she wouldn't see what was next. I definately don't even remember the ride I was so worried about her.
I will say now it was ungodly hot - Tarzan hot!!! I felt so bad about RNR I bought her a little stuffed guy as she calls them- she has her own money so normally anything she wants she pays for, but I thought a little stuffed Marie might ease her trauma. It did.
We were all melting so we went over to H&V a bit early and got in maybe 5 minutes sooner than our time. Eating in the A/C helped everyone but it was becoming obvious that the combination of RNR, the heat and how early we had gotten up was wearing on Mouth, she was quite pitiful. We went and did Catastrophe Canyon next, Mouth loved that and then we were going to do Little Mermaid until it was time to go to our Fantasmic seating but Mouth seemed not herself so we decided to skip Fantasmic and just go back for a swim a bed. Mouth loves Fantasmic and I could tell she felt bad b/c we had paid for the dinner package but sometimes you have to know when to get out so we just left figuring tomorrow would be better if we got a good nights sleep. And It was........

Our DD6 has been known to cause bleeding ears, too.
