Day 1, Part 1
After a very tearful farewell the night before and wondering if I could leave DS for 4 days, we left mums at 3.30 am to go pick up Dsis and head to Ebsfleet which was easy to find altho the satnav does not recognise ebsfleet station yet
. We arrived at 6.45 eventho check in does not open until 8.30am but that's dm for you always panicking we will be late so we grabbed a hot chocolate each and settled down to be very surprised at how quiet it was there we kept saying it's got to get busy (we are used to going from St Pancras) Dsis decided she was bored and got dd colouring books out (note the concentration on her face
)

Another family did arrive about 8am which dd became friends with their little girl which passed the time on for her. We checked in so easy no rushing or pushing that you find at St Pancras. there is toys and colouring for the kids at the lounge. There was probably only another 20 ish families there. I really loved this station although we then heard over the speakers that you get 7 minutes from boarding call to get to your numbered carriage that is painted on the floor of the platforms then when the train arrives you have 2 minutes when the doors open befoe they shut again
but like we are we had a military operation going so it was fine we were on...

and after all that exhausting colouring Dsis fell asleep.
We arrived into DLP on time (hurrah finally here
)
We had planned to drop our luggage and head straight to Annettes diner and have lunch we were wondering if we could resist the force of the park and go straight and eat???? we were very good and we did just that.
i had the Double Rockabilly burger (and shared with dd as she was not hungry she had been picking all day) and a Annettes caramel milkshake oooooo these are soooo scrummy sorry no pic of milkshake i could not stop to take one but here is my burger
Mum had the onion burger and a peanut butter milkshake and Dsis had a normal plain burger...yup nothing in it.... boring!!! here is the onion burger
After eating this we headed off to the hotel Cheyenne to check in which as we were walking through we noticed that they were painting the outside of the rooms
We went straight to the reception (no queue
) when we checked in the receptionist told me that they knew it was my birthday treat they had upgraded us to the Wyatt Earp block which was right next to reception which we thought was a Bonus...... Or so we thought at the time!!!!
When we entered the room we had been left chocolate coins, bottled water and a kettle. we dropped our luggage in and got freshened up and headed out to the park.
Part 2 to follow.........
(sorry if this is too much, please let me know if i'm getting boring
