I hope before she leaves it comes out that Lucky is Aiden's real father.

Just read on soap central that they just let her go.. Her last air date is sometime in March.. So why did they have her have another kid and go through all that with Jason

I loved when Liz and Jason got together both times. But, they were never really "together". We got the build up the second time but no follow through. Yes she had his baby and we got I love yous from both of them but they weren't allowed to be a couple. Jason's life is so dangerous, blah, blah, blah but he's with Sam and who knows what the future holds children wise for them. How is it safe for them to have a family but Jason can't be a family with Liz? I know it's just a show but when they put Jason back with Sam after all that had happened with Jake and Liz I just couldn't hack it anymore.

I am really sorry to see Rebecca Herbst go.

I can't help but wonder whether it was entirely the decision of GH, or partially her request. Isn't the actress now the mother of 3 young ones? Maybe she wanted to take a break from acting and stay home for a while. I haven't read the soap central article-maybe that answers the idea.

Bad move on GH's part...I just read that they gave the (not really) Irish Chick a contract and the chick that plays Lisa a contract! Moron's...First the irish chick is annoying and Lisa is played out and soooooooooooooooo annoying. I am so ticked at GH for this.

Iremember when Liz was my favorite character. I don't like what GH has done to her -- and now I'm wondering about Steve's future...

I am disappointed Becky has been let go, but they did saddle Liz with too many kids from too many fathers...

Rebecca Herbst to leave General Hospital

General Hospital actress Rebecca Herbst is to exit the ABC medical soap later this year. Her exit from the soap is being described as an "exit dictated by story" but has come as a shock to fans of General Hospital. The actress plays Elizabeth Webber and first joined the cast in 1997.

" Storyline dictates the exit of Elizabeth Webber this spring The next few months promise to be 'not-to-miss" story for the character. We at ABC and GH wish Rebecca Herbst nothing but the best in her future endeavors" - A statement released.

The actress was nominated in 2007 for Outstanding Supporting Actress at the daytime Emmy awards for her role of Elizabeth. No final air date has yet been announced but Herbst is expected to leave on-screen at the end of March or beginning of April.

**All I can say is Wow but I really don't like Liz with anyone but Jason. I wish it was Sam leaving and not Liz. I feel bad for Becky Herbst if this was not something she had any control over.**

Stacey thats the same one I read.. I'm gonna miss her. They really haven't given her a story in awhile now other than baby stories.. and now to read the read head and lisa now have contracts..

I was wondering the same thing. I saw last night that today was a repeat and Monday and Tuesday didnt' tape on my dvr. I wasn't sure what was going on.

in an effort to cut costs - and keep the soaps on the air, they are going to be doing these random 'days off' from now on.

If you follow any of the GH'ers tweets...they have more days off now than ever before.

I guess I can put up with a 'repeat' day every once in awhile in exchange for keeping the show on the air. However, if they keep losing characters like Liz...maybe not.

I'm disgusted to hear that Siobahn's character is under contract now.

I think I read somewhere that Tyler Christopher's (Nik) contract is up and he is considering leaving. Something about Nik has nothing to do anymore and that they have kind of written him into a corner.

I am kind of confused by this question but I am referring to the character on General Hospital, I don't know her in person. So when she gets her new role I hope "angel" is not the only role she can play because it really gets on my nerves....on the show.

Sorry about the confusion. I couldn't tell from your post what you meant. When I first read it I heard it in my head being said kind of mean but now that you explained it I can go back and read it how you meant it to sound.

I was hoping you meant the character and not the actress. There are some real interesting GH fans out there who sometimes can't tell the difference between the two.
