I think their accepting to come back has something to do with being part of the 50's Anniversary. I know I worked someplace 25 years and if I had a chance to go back and be a part of them for a special anniversary I would jump at it. For me it wouldn't be about the $$$ (although I wouldn't turn it down) it would to be able to say, I was there.

The only thing I hate about all the comebacks is that I believe they are winding down to official cancellation. I know it has been rumored for a long time but even with the replacement shows tanking...I fear it is only a matter of time.

And this seems to indicate that.

Its sad with them bringing back a lot of veterans that they are wasting their talent with horrible writing. Isn't the vampire story line what killed PC in the first place?

That's what I was hoping they were going to do with it, but after today, I just don't see that happening. It looks like a story line for another multiple personalities. He's John McBain without the ring, but when the ring goes on he's Caleb.

Michael Easton (John/Caleb) just posted on his Facebook page this evening:

With a picture of his boots from the show sitting by themselves.

Sounds like this is not really resolved yet.

I was also wondering if using Caleb instead of John was a way to keep him working on GH for now and John back at OLTL.

Love that guy to pieces and will follow John or Caleb. A very sexy man and a very sexy vampire

I hate to tell you, one soap opera magazine says that he is. Maybe so Carly and AJ can get together?

Right. I think GH got permission to use the OLTL characters when Prospect Park didn't have the money to produce OLTL and AMC online. Now that the project's back on, PP has first dibs on Starr, Todd and John. My understanding is that what they're wrangling with legally is:

1) Can ABC and PP come to a joint agreement to share the characters, and
2) If they don't/can't share the characters, can ABC employ the actors as other characters (there might be some sort of non-compete in their contracts preventing this).
