The GH Official Thread Part 2

Gossip for the week of 13-Aug-2012
by Carol Banks Weber

Miss Jen Lilley (ex-Maxie recast)? Maybe executive producer Frank Valentini can do something about that. He’s thinking about bringing the recast back for another role, according to Soap Whisperer on Twitter. Many want Lilley as the SORAS’d Serena Baldwin, Scotty’s daughter.

Once Kirsten Storms restores her place as Maxie, expect to see her re-paired with Bradford Anderson’s Spinelli and a quickie Matt divorce, based on the latest from SoapTown USA’s Loose Lips.

The reports of A.J.’s death may have been greatly exaggerated, according to the rumor-smiths over at Daytime Dish.

Kassie DePaiva (Blair, OLTL) makes a lengthier return engagement for the fall season, as Jerry’s ties spread to Todd and Joe Scully Jr., according to SoapTown USA’s Loose Lips.

I have to say, I have been enjoying GH far more the last few days then I have in a long time. Lot's of varied groups, interaction between them and a mystery. I can't remember the last time I felt the hour went far to fast. I enjoyed Jason and John together today. It was such a pleasure to see him working with someone other then the mob and Sonny! And whoever is doing the casting for the kids is finding the cutest ones.

Agreed. I also liked the fact that John and Jason figured out the "bite mark" connection quickly. In the past, that kind of detail would have been cliffhanging for weeks and we'd have been screaming at the TV, asking why they seem too dumb not to figure these things out :rotfl:

Anyone else love that they tied Joe Jr to the Metro Court crisis? My theory is that Joe Jr. the NOLA "antiques dealer" was probably profiting from Jerry's various heists over the years in exchange for arranging Jerry's accomplices.

Last thought: I almost started crying when Emma asked Patrick if he was going to die, too. They ARE casting these little kids well. Time to bring some of this back - it all reminds me of the brownstone days when the Jones kids were all little (Maxie, BJ etc.)

Another storyline where Jerry terrorizes the citizens of Port Charles? Is Jerry's brother scheduled to ride in on his white horse to save the day? I may have to stop watching for a while, since I can't stand to watch these types of storylines.

I'm loving this storyline. Anything to get us out of the mob. I loved how things were happening yesterday during the prayer and how Jerry was explaining his plan. It made me think of old General Hospital. I also love how this is going to no doubt, bring characters together that don't normally interact. It's got my interest again!

Agreed. And I like the fact that the storylines are moving along. I know there are a group that are not happy that Sonny is not front and center but we've had 10+ years of him driving just about every single story line. EP Frank Valentini seems to be getting it together and while I'm not happy with everything he is doing, he had a lot to clean up and organize to get his vision going. I'm giving him some slack and let's see how he handles the next six months or so while it truly becomes his show. I just wish he'd bring Aunt Dorian (Robin Strauser) out to visit. I think it would be a hoot to see her in the Quartermaine Mansion and have a conversation with Tracy and Monica :rofl

/
I've been thinking about Dorian in Port Charles, can't you just see her married to Edward LOL

I can't help but wonder if some how this story line could be connected to the one at the end of AMC where some of the most beloved charcters were actually still alive but being kept "prisoner". I know none of the characters from AMC have crossed over but it seems to be the same sort of storyline. I will agree with most I have been on the edge of my seat lately!! Can't wait to watch when I get home!!

Todd offers Kate her job and attempts to guide her to the realization that Connie is still lurking and that she didn’t kill Cole and Hope.

After moving into the Metro Court, Joe Jr. meets Tracy.
We learn that Joe is having money troubles. When he meets Tracy he is genuinely interested in her. According to Richard Steinmetz, who plays Joe, even if Tracy were poor Joe would still like her. He doesn't care about her money, but it certainly doesn't hurt that she's rich. Steinmetz expressed his delight about working with Jane Elliot in SOD, "Our scenes were terrific." Apparently his new-found relationship with Tracy will soften him a bit and the audience will get to see another side to the character. "Its a legitimate love interest for Tracy."

Carly and Josslyn are confronted by a mystery person as they prepare to head home.

Johnny and Jax come face-to-face over Carly
Jax is less than pleased to find Johnny with Carly and he reminds the younger man that Carly may be his girlfriend, but she's still his wife.

Todd won't stop meddling.

It appears that Jerry's plan is to spread a virus through the local water supply.
His revenge plot creates an atmosphere of chaos. He wants to people of Port Charles to give in to his financial demands or face their demise! Think,"something right out of a Batman movie." However, he wasn't counting on Jax to show up, especially when he did everything in his power to keep him away. Despite the fact they want to kill each other every chance they get, they do indeed love each other. Jerry also crosses paths with Todd. By the end of the week, Jerry succeeds in getting his message across to PC but this is only the beginning... There's some pretty scary stuff about to go down. Are Jerry's intentions only about financial gains or something else?

Ewen and Jason have an encounter that raises Jason's suspicions.

Ewen doesn't like Jason; he assumes Jason is poisoning Liz's mind against him.

Jason goes to Spinelli with a hunch and asks him to investigate the Aussie. He tells him to break into his office and get any information that might connect him with the injecting of Alexis and Josslyn. Meanwhile, overwhelmed with guilt, Ewen almost spills all with Kate.

Ewen is too deeply entrenched in Jerry's schemes to back out and he's caught between a rock and a hard place when he realizes he's put Elizabeth's life in danger. Spinelli reveals to Jason that Ewen spend a lot of time in Alaska where both Jax brothers spent a lot of time and that sets off bells for Jason.

John McBain begins to investigate the goings-on at Wyndemere.

As Liz and Ewen get closer, he almost gives himself away, but manages to save himself.
Will Liz and Ewen make love and will Liz come to regret it?

New to the thread!! We started watching GH at my Dad's insistence when Anthony Geary came back as Bill. I should say they started rewatching at that time. I stopped in college and started rewatching when Jonathan Jackson came back as Lucky (I have a yorkie named Lucky, lol). Anyways, in loving the story lines right now. SO glad Jax is back! Loving evil Jerry poisoning the water supply. Wasn't thrilled about Jason and Sam breaking up, but I like her with John (cough, Caleb, cough). Speaking of, wasn't thrilled about the OLTL people coming in, but the ones they've brought in all seem to fit fairly well. I could go on forever, lol.
