Helping out American POW families

CC -- I think the original poster has a huge heart and a wonderful way of showing it. I admire her for her efforts.

I also understand where the other military moms are coming from. One stated that she is trying to make sure her child's life remains as normal as possilbe, so although she thinks the idea is a generous and beautiful idea, she's not so sure of the effect it will have on the child if she receives all the heart felt gifts from around the country. She suggested an education fund which I think is a great idea.

Then someone mentioned the male POW's and the POW's without children.

I think that this is a follow your heart sort of thing. I'm torn about what to do. Ahhh! LOL! I want the children to live as normal a life as possible, yet I want to let them know that I'm thinking about them (well, not just the children but the families). What to do, what to do.

What a wonderful idea. My heart goes out to all of the POW's families, and to the POW's. I think no matter what is sent and to who it is sent, it is the thought, and expression of gratitude that will forever stay in their hearts. I for one think they need to hear it from us. God bless them all.

I will go look at the catalog...to the others, even if a card to the families is there a way to find out?
