I have some nice tassels on the corn too. Banana peppers that are ready to pick and tomatoes that are sooo close. I lost a couple plants, but nothing major so far.

Fun to hear everyone's gardens coming to harvest

Some of my mesclun survived and I'll do a pickin' this weekend for some greens to go with our grillin'


I know it's a just a teenie spot - I was going to dig out a bed this year but couldn't decide where to put it. The bunnies stay away from the house so I thought this would be a safe place for the salad blend (sorry annuals!).

Your gardens have inspired me to make a bed next year!

we ate a yellow pepper last night, the banana peppers are ready to go and we have our first melon starting to grow nicely. Will post photos later.

Here are some pics of my pathetic garden. In our last house we had a huge garden and had so many vegetables we were giving them away, but we had to widen the driveway at this house which took away a lot of space, oh well...

Nice pics. Your garden looks like it's just the right size and everything is doing well. I have eggplant envy now.

Nothing wrong with that garden Andrea. I actually like the use of space and you are not dedicating part of the yard to it. It actually gives me an expansion idea for next year.

Love that varietal of eggplant whatever that is.

Making a BJ's run later and then I'm stuffing some peppers for the grill. Jalapeno, ancho. Will be using sausage meat among other things.

The eggplant is the chinese version, Ichiban. It doesn't grow very large at all, it is long and thin unlike the italian version.
