Just thought I would share tonight's harvest.

Thanks for sharing Jen. I haven't been in the garden in a week. Deb has though.

I think we have about run our course, we harvested a couple pumpkins, but most of the vines appear dead. A few tomatoes still kick'en and lots of catnip and rosemary still alive. That is about it.

Still have a couple eggplants going along with peppers and tomatoes.

Deb brought in some zukes and squash today with a mess more tomatoes. Will make another quick sauce tomorrow for eggplant parm.

The garden is almost gone.

I'll be borrowing someones hand food mill to seed and skin tomatoes tonight for a last sauce of the season. There are a few fairly popular ones on Amazon that I might get or I will get the kit that converts my Kitchenaid grinder attachment to a food mill.

I plan to pull all the plants hopefully over the weekend and re-till for the winter.

This was a fun topic this year and I hope we start another for 2011. I look forward to hear what you'll do differently. Should be fun.

What a great plan NOT.

The mill was old as dirt and not in the best operational condition. The person who lent it had it given to her and she never actually used it. I just aborted the process early on and averted a major kitchen meltdown!

Ordered the Kitchenaid attachment and will keep my sanity.
