Don. Very nice. You have some huge plants there. Love the peppers! :cool1:

The kids look to be having a good time with it.

The phone photos are really nice. Incredible I must say. :woohoo:

George, the boys each planted some hot peppers too. That was one of the first things they picked out to grow (after Brady got the catnip).

Will they actually eat the peppers. :scared1:

I try to upload a picture a day to my blog. Today’s subject is an update on our garden. So I wanted to share here as well. The pictures are a bit too large to place here.

For those who have grown corn before can you look at the picture I posted and let me know if this is a good or bad sign for the corn LOL. Thanks!

The link is in my signature…

The sunflowers and corn are twice as tall since they have been planted. Cucumbers, sqush, and zucchini are also doing well. The peppers and eggplant "fruits" are growing. Also the lettuce and tomatoes are looking promising.

Now the beans...... not so good. When they were planted I thought they would do well. Even have a few beans growing. Now, 3 plans of 10 have died. :(

So......... How does your garden grow?

Hi Jen. Sounds good with the exception of the beans. I'm not a beaner so can't help with why they are being the garden malcontents.

I need to take some more photos tomorrow. My lettuce plants that were planted are getting close. If I eat them prematurely don't fault me. :) I also started some by seed. The romaine took but the red crisp varietal did not germinate. I'm going to try planting the seeds again.

Small fruits on four of the five tomato plants. Pepper plants are doing well with the recent heat.

Squash plants are also doing good but some of cuke plants seem slow. these are the ones I planted from seed.

More later this week.

Things are going well here. We are almost ready to pick some bell peppers. I went out and picked some oregeno, basil and rosemary today to toss in the spagetti sauce, it was yummy!!

We had some high winds and rain on Friday and we lost some corn stalks, but I think everything else made it. The pumpkins are out of control, I'm close to pulling them, but my middle son is too excited about them. So if they take over...ohh well. Our garden is such a hodgepodge that who knows what we will get, but things seem to be growing well so far. The catnip is huge too! The kids have fed the cat a couple times, she eats it then goes crazy!! We have some nice cilantro too, but haven't been able to use it yet.

I picked 4 Juliet's (tomatoes), 1 Bell Pepper, and 2 Banana Peppers yesterday after we got home from weekend trip. I washed them and had them on the counter.......................we had friends over that evening and one of the men (gotta love this guy) ate the tomatoes and put the peppers in his short pockets. :rotfl: Honestly it's really funny, I tease him because his tomato plants always start out looking great, but they don't produce....so, I had it coming.

You don't touch my wife, my money, my lunch, OR MY VEGETABLES! :rotfl:

What about your beer or your remote?

Over the weekend, 3/4 of my pepper plants bit the dust. I fear when I go away next weekend, DP will murder what is left.

My garden is doing GREAT. I have 1 pepper so far, and lots of flowers on the tomatoes, egg plant. Several yellow squash. The grean beans are growing nicely too. Can't wait to harvest !!!

Nice Cher! Please try to add some pictures if possible.

I hope to take a few tonight if no storms crop up when I get home.

Am I the only one that hasn't had to water the garden more than a few times this year? We have enough water daily right now, between storms and just light sprinkles.

Seems like all the storms are hitting everywhere else but here. I've had to water daily. The grass is a nice shade of brown too.

I'm using soaker hoses buried in the ground and have only turned the hose on twice since planting on Memorial Day. Plenty of rain here. ::yes::

Time to leave work in a few and looks like the sky will spit on me as I attempt to leave. :)

Our Peas have all died, I researched and apparently I may have over watered them.. Oh well I will replant and try again.. The tomatoes are going crazy, the Cantelope and Cucs are really starting to spread, the potato plants are just about dead (according to Jen that means I can pick them soon :thumbsup2) . I still only have 2 Gr Peppers though but at least they are growing..

We have had no rain in about 2 weeks now so we are having to hand/sprinkler water every day, some plants twice a day asit has been 90+ all week, We are suppose to shatter records and break 100 tomorrow and 104 on Thursday.. Yikes!!

I am so envious of all of your gardens. I must admit great work; I give you all kudos… I will have to post my garden pictures. But, at the beginning of the season, I planted Bush Beans, Zucchini, Red Peppers, Green Peppers, Tomatoes, Corn, Eggplant and Roma Tomatoes. Now for some reason, something must be going on with the plants… maybe it was a bad batch, overwatering, too much direct sun, or even perhaps too many plants in a crowded area, but, it seems that NOTHING is growing. The Corn has about doubled in its size; the tomatoes have finally flowered and in fact have small growths on them, however, no eggplant, zucchini flowers keep growing and falling off, and not one pepper. What could be wrong?
