first trip (CBR SEPT 06) has anyone eaten at the Garden grill at Epcot for TS?
comments needed. :confused3

We have eaten there twice, last year for lunch TS and the year before for dinner. Our boys ages 8 & 9 love it there, one of their favs. We also enjoyed the casual atmosphere. Didn't feel rushed, the characters were great and the food was very good.

:thumbsup2 We ate there a year ago and really enjoyed it. Not sure I can comment on the food now, though, since I think we were there during the time they were trying out a new menu and since then they've gone back to the old one. The food was great when we were there though--yummiest, creamiest risotto I've ever had. And a fondue-type dessert (chocolate & strawberries)!
I thought it was really nice and relaxed for a character meal. You have your own private little booth and the characters come to you as the restaurant revolves--very pleasant and fun. We did not have an ADR, just wanted a break from the heat and the crowds. Worked for us!

we LOVE the garden grill... imo it's the best character interaction anywhere and it is such a nice respite from the hustle and bustle... the restaurant itself is quite cool since it revolves and the scenery changes constantly... the food is outstanding and fresh and plentiful and varied, w/selections for the picky eater in the family (c'mon, every family has at least ONE!) the booths are high backed so you really feel like the only guests in the place... there's no kids at the next table yelling "mickey mickey mickey mickey mickey" the entire time he's w/your kids (which happens at buffets allllll too often) 'cause you cannot see the next table and they cannot see you! it's really a great restaurant :)

We ate there in February, having eaten there 4 years ago also. It is one of my all time favourite restaurants at WDW!!! I love the setting (however, it seemed to be rotating very slowly when we were on it). The food is delicious, and our server was brilliant too!!! The characters were really interactive- they spent a great length of time at each table!!!

This was always a "must do" prior to their menu change which took place about a year or so ago at which times it got lots of not so rave reviews so we stayed away. They changed the menu back to "must do" that we always liked with some minor changes.

SO we went back during our past trip (just 2 weeks ago) and it was very good. Actually even a little better than I remember. The potato thing is really good and different from before and instead of roasted chicken they had pork tenderloin I think it was. Everything was very good, one plate was enough for me. The character interaction was good as well. We did wait a while for them to come around but it worked out better because we got to eat first. The dessert...I'm a chocoholic, so it was an improvement over the past desserts, yum yum!! I'm not a big fruity dessert lover, give me chocolate and I'm happy and the new desserts made me VERY HAPPY!!! :thumbsup2

This was one of our favorite meals on this trip! We love the casual atmosphere and the food is really good! My DH was raving about the catfish. I didn't care for the catfish, but I loved the turkey, flank steak, veggies, and cheesy potatoes. And we both LOVED the desserts! I love catching glimpses of the different scenes of "Living with the Land" ride. It is a great place to get out of the heat, rest your feet, and eat really good food!

My husband and I (no kids) ate lunch here on Tuesday 5/16 and the food was wonderful. The steak, fish and turkey were great and the potatoes were the best. The characters we saw were Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto. We'll be returning here in September on the dining plan!

This restaurant is hands-down awesome. the environment is great b/c the restaurant rotates a slow speed so u get to see diff. things while ur eating. The character interaction was kind of slow but once they get to ur table it is awesome. the characters as mentioned above are(pluto, mickey, chip & dale). The food is awesome, and its not buffet style nor is the atmosphere, u have ur privacy while ur hanging out with the characters. my DH2B and I have been there like 4 times with the last time being on New Years Eve this past year. Definetly we recommend this restaurant for the food and the customer service plus the character interaction.=0) pluto: ::MickeyMo :tink: pixiedust:

Can anyone tell me which characters appear here? TIA! :sunny:
We had Farmer Mickey, Chip & Dale and Pluto when we were there in January. The characters made it to our table 3 times, it was a lot of fun and the food was good.
