For people who have no idea whats going on:

The game is a mind game and you cannot win the game, you can only lose. The point of the game is not to think of the game for as long as possible. The rules are that if you think of the game you must call out "I just lost the game" to make the people surrounding you suffer just as much So yes... Don't think of the game

I have 3 boys...15,13,11... so I lose the game every day.several times a day.... and have for a couple of years. I told DS13 that we would be "winners" instead of "losers"...if we just would never have heard of The Game.

I do love hearing them attempt to explain it to others... and I love the clever ways they make people lose the game...

I think this is the dumbest "game" ever invented...but yes, my kids play it and sometimes DBF will even say "I just lost the game"....I just think it's lame.

My kids like it, and my sister and I have gotten them quite a few times. I'll even text "the game...you're losing" to my son once in a while, lol. Yes, it's a pointless game, but harmless fun.

I've seen variations on the rule that indicates it does (this also includes the rule that it is over when the Prime Minister of the UK says so). But I did look up the original rules, and you are right.
