The Funny things about crocs

Same is true here. I also live in a beach area. One store even advertises on its sign out front, "Tons of Croc..Lot's of Colors". The closer you are to the beach here the more they are seen.

:wave2: I think we might live near each other. That store is where I bought my Crocs. :-) On Rt 1 right...?

I live in a very heavily touristed area of Alaska and I see them everywhere here, mostly on kids. Did anyone see Terrell Owens wearing a pair of black Crocs tonight on his interveiw on Dateline on NBC?

I bought my first pair of Crocs at Dicks Sporting Goods.
Dicks Sporting Goods has free shipping and free return shipping

Click on Footwear&Apparel - then select Footwear - then Men. Women or Kids - then CLOGS , you will find CROCS (and other brands) listed here :)

Now I am waiting for Crocs Disney Designs :cool1: posted by another person on this site - but no info on the Crocs web-sie

Wow, I find that really surprising. Judging by the boards you would think they would be everywhere.

If you really think about it, it's a small percentage of people who actually research and plan their trips.

We only saw 2-3 ppl during our entire 8 days.

Our trip doesn't begin for 10 more days!:cheer2: But I have bought a total of 6 pair for me, 1 for my DS16 and 1 for my DM (the RX style due to diabetes). I love them and have started noticing them everywhere here in VA. We went to Busch Gardens - Williamsburg over Memorial day and I saw several people wearing them there. I'll let you know if I see many from the 18th through 27th.

I agree in that I expected to see more "Crocs" in June when we were there. I saw some - but not alot. I absolutely loved mine - first trip in which my feet didn't kill me at the end of the day. I couldn't talk my DH or DS into wearing them though. Too bad for them!! My DH will probably never give in, but my DS has worn mine a couple times since we have been home so I may have a convert on our next trip!

I see them EVERYWHERE here. Just yesterday I took the kids to lunch and to the movies. Of course I was wearing my Athens (flip flop) Crocs and my dh was wearing his Beach crocs (he's been wearing them all summer because they are so comfortable). While having lunch I spotted 4 other families with at least one person wearing them. Then standing in the concession line at the movies I saw another 5 pairs.

I swear half of the people at our country club wear one version or another to the pool.

Crocs are great shoes for WDW! I bought a navy pair for my DD14, and she loves them! She never gets blisters, and she says that they are very comfortable! I highly suggest wearing them at WDW! I'm actually getting a pair myself before our trip! :thumbsup2

I went into the local Hallmark store to buy a couple birthday cards, and they are selling Crocs in there. I don't own any yet, but tried them on, and they did feel great. I hear talk about different styles, but have only seen the kind with all the open holes on top. I'll have to look further.

I just received my first pair of crocs cayman style today...needless to say, I have 2 more pairs on order in different colors! I took a walk around my block with these and couldn't believe my feet! Amazing, just amazing :thumbsup2 :cool1:

That is funny, cause I thought the opposite when we went in April. It seemed like everybody had on Crocs, including whole families!

I first bought Crocs after reading about them on the boards last year. I live in Atlanta and it seemed at the time nobody had them. We were asked about them often, then BAM! They are now huge here. I see them all the time.

The whole family will be wearing them next month, I hope they are as good as what everyone is saying. Your feet do sweat a lot because of the rubber. :sunny:

We didn't see a lot of Crocs during our trip in May. However, they have really caught on here in Cleveland - after the big Cleveland paper did a story on them, they were fully (over?) stocked at Dicks with Athens and a closed-toe style. I have been seeing them more and more (as well as the Payless Airwalks, of which I have a pair - I just thought the tie dye colors were so cute, I am a doctor on call frequently at night and I can just slip them on with my scrubs when I get called into a hospital). Lots of kids have them, they are all the rage for the older grade schoolers. I have seen toddlers with them on too. However, much to many parents chagrin I'm sure, Payless doesn't carry kids sizes in the Airwalks Crocs. So, I think we will be seeing them more and more at WDW and everywhere!

I am going to purchase a pair and try them out when I go in FEB. I hear lots of great things about them, but is it really true that they are the best shoes in preventing blisters?

This isn't true my wife had them and they gave her terrible blisters on the side of her feet and on the balls of her feet because her feet would sweat so much in them they would rub. We are in London Ontario and there are very very few people up here that wear them and the people that do are mostly young children. My kids don't like them either they all found them to be not hearly as comfy as their running shoes.

I am the same way I have a very small foot and narrow but there is a brand called Holy soles and they are narrower fitting . I love my crocs but they fit very wide on my foot but I don't mind that cause then nothing rubs. My hubby bought my a apir of the holy soles and I really like them as well cause they fit my foot better . Here the site you can order them .
www.holeysoles.com. I work both as a Nurse and a travel Agent so for nursing I wear the closed in Aspen crocs .

Holey Soles are the Canadian version they are based in BC (British Columbia) and they are made in the same factory as the crocs.

They are pretty popular with the kids in Tennessee. We will probably be seeing a lot more of Crocs at WDW, since Disney has partnered with the Crocs company. I can't wait to see what Disney designs they produce :sunny:

Partner dude ordered a pair for each of us without telling me. He sort of let it slip that they were arriving and I went, 'Huh? Those are the ugliest things I've ever seen." (Yeah, my mouth just keeps getting bigger and bigger each time I stick my foot in it!).

They arrived yesterday and I rolled my eyes as I put them on. Then the apologies began! These are great! Comfy as all get out!

I'm wearing them at work today and I've already started looking up online to see what other colors I might be able to get. We're off to Puerto Vallarta at the end of the month and these will be packed! I guess I'll be paying for the margaritas!

The "crocs" with the diamonds on top are called NothinZ, and I actually find them more comfy than crocs. Much better arch support and more cushioned soles! :)

They are possibly NothinZ - the Payless Airwalks also have diamonds on top.

I have the NothinZ and LOVE them! I agree that they have better arch support and more cushioning to the soles. That said, I love my Crocs too! ;)

NothinZ are slightly narrower than Crocs, so those with narrow feet might like them better.
