So. . . I'm down to less than 24 hours until we leave and my nerves are at critical point so here we go- the best way to distract myself. . .obsess about the trip some more! LOL

Our cast of characters (and boy, are weever) for this trip:

Myself: 36; Have pink Converse, will travel.
My DH:29; Red Sox Fan/Trekkie extraordinaire.
DD, 11: Hannah Montana type fashionista and VMK fan
DF: Man who had reservations for WDW BEFORE it opened and is responsible for my Disney obsession to begin with! Grandpa to only one grandkid-my daughter and they're thick as thieves.

We haven't been to WDW in three years, (feels soooo much longer!) and that trip was pretty much an unmitagated disaster. It wasn't anything Disney did, (hotel was beautiful, weather perfect, dining superb) it was just the circumstances surrounding the trip for us personally and stuff, long story! So we have owed DD a 'do over' trip for a long time. Dad hasn't been to WDW since he went with us back in 2003- and that was a dream trip.

We're staying at Poly, garden view/free DDP (First and probably last time that'll happen LOL we were lucky and snagged it for the dates we'd already booked our plane tickets for).

My points of anxiety-

1. our airline. NWA has a stranglehold on the airport we fly out of and so with them you get what you get service wise. They already moved our departure time 20 minutes later and our return time 20 minutes sooner (without telling us!) and so I'm just hoping we get off the ground somewhere near on time!

2. My family has some HIGH expectations for this trip. . .especially about the resort, so I am trying to have NONE LOL. I'm hoping this yin/yang will balance us out karmically and maybe save me some grief in the long run. We are packing way too many clothes because I do not want to do laundry on this trip.

3. Our poor cat gets to stay with my mother- who hates to travel and is so staying home. Poor baby. But it beats going to a kennel. . .hang on kitty, mommy will be coming to rescue you! I keep asking my husband, is he sure that we can't take him along? :(

My only personal dream/hope for this trip (aside from my family having the time of their lives): To get to see Jack Sparrow's Pirate Tutorial at least twice. I have been a totally mad crazy Sparrow fan since 2002 and have never been able to see him at WDW before- on the ride or in a show.

My 'not to do' list for the trip: LOL

Not to worry too much about threads on this board that scare me senseless- including but not limited to bed bug threads, love bug threads, anything to do with 'bug' threads, food borne illness threads, etc etc. Have packed enough OTC remedies for a small third world nation.

Not let small things pile up and get to me.

Not to go crazy and over-shop! LOL

To do list: Be sure that we don't burn out halfway through the trip by making sure everybody is properly hydrated and rested!

I should add that my concerns for our health are not all unfounded or unnecessary. Dad and I are both stroke survivors (He had his at 60, I had mine at 29) and I'll be in a chair for the parks per usual- and we will be seriously trying to talk Dad into an ECV. Please wish us luck. We've already told him it's a must-do for Epcot. But knowing him, he won't want to do it for the rest of the parks.

We have unbelievable ADR's. . .booked way in advance and including:
Kona (once for lunch, once for dinner) Liberty Tree (lunch) Cali Grill (dinner) Narcoosees (Dinner) leCellier (which none of us have EVER eaten at!) (dinner) and Chef's de France (Dinner, a family fave).

My daughter has several goals for this trip including lots of swimming, dressing up in her Hannah Montana finery, and going on Buzz Lightyear as many times as humanly possible in 9 days.

We haven't sorted out exactly which of us is which Musketeer yet. I'd have to say, though, taking it as read that my daughter would be D'Artagnon, that would leave me as Athos, My father as Porthos and my husband as Aramis. That's my story, and I'm sticking with it.

I wonder if Athos was ever known to wear pink?

Ooo. Note to self- I NEED a pair of pink mouse ears this trip.

So if you are in WDW in the next week and somewhere around Poly you see a chick with geek glasses and pink high tops, it just might be me! If I'm with a really cute tween, and two dashing gentlemen, it's definitely me :)

Trip report after we return. . .please wish us well for a healthy and fun and relaxing trip!!! Our motto for this one: "Don't hurry. If you miss this monorail there will be another one in five minutes!"

ALL for one, and all for WDW! :)

Wishing you a healthy, fun, and relaxing trip! :)

We leave in 11 days and it's not soon enough for me. I'd love to see a picture of the pink mouse ears.

Have a GREAT time!
