The fort will reopen on 10/6

Disney called me this morning and booked me one night at AoA with checking into the fort on Friday 10/7. They still said 10/7 isn’t guaranteed to be open. We may end up canceling the AoA reservation as we’d rather stay at Gaylord palms for less money and more to do at that resort.

Some already at the Resorts said they were told that the MK lot will open first thing Fri morn so they can get their rigs and head back to the Fort. "Who's on first"?....

So they weren’t putting you there at the Fort’s rate?

We’re at port orleans riverside since the 26th and we’re scheduled to leave the 3rd. We added 2 days and got the fort rate. We were to leave today, but yesterday found we had a flat on our TV. they had to order a tire so we decided to ask for a room one more day. They gave us the same rate as before-fort rate.

Point is, our experience has been we were given fort rate the entire time.

Yes they were honoring the fort rate (we had a cabin booked) as AoA was more expensive. But for $500 and change AoA is not worth that to us.
