The Flippant Trip - (new TWILIGHT TR update 11/16/09 bottom of pg 29)

I didn't play Charlies Angels (I was on the older age of the scale) I "played" Partridge Family I was always Laurie. Warped my Datebook album by leaving it outside in the sun.:rotfl:

This is too funny, I remember all these shows. I even have the first 3 seasons of Charlie's Angels on DVD. I got them when the movies were made for my daughter so that she could see what the show was really about. We even have the first season of Starsky and Hutch. When I look back on these shows, the cheese come through again, but the memories are awsome. And speaking of cheese, anyone remember CHIP's? :happytv:

Did you see the Danny Bonneduci version of the "real story?" It was pretty entertaining.

I remember sneaking up to listen to TV after I was supposed to be in bed and the show "Soap" would be on. I didn't understand it but it definitely felt "weird" to me, even as a kid. The music is hauntingly ODD.

My new favorite (and I don't watch much TV ... takes away from my Distime) is LOST... anybody fans? I love it and I"m irritated by it at the same time. I feel like they're just dragging me on and I'm afraid that at any minute it could be canceled and nothing solved. :scared1:

The girls, DH and I got up every morning last year (For the first 6 mos of school) and watched I LOVE LUCY at 6:00 am before getting ready for school/work. We hate getting up... so the idea of just rolling out to the couch with a blanket and America's Favorite Redhead really worked well for us! :happytv:

My girls LOVE the VitameetaVegamin! Are you un-poopular?

The link below is to an episode I liked as a kid but then REALLY liked as an adult. The youtube video starts with a quick Fred and Ethel number then goes into the awesome Ricky and Lucy classic... I love this show!!

This year we are watching Shockwave in the morning. I'm on the library waiting list for the Gilligans Island DVD collection! :lmao:

I love "I Love Lucy". She was so funny. I have two of my kids hooked on old episodes of MASH. We have the all 11 seasons on dvd. I know sad, but really funny, good TV.:rotfl:

That's cool that you're re-living your fav's with your kids!

When I was a little kid, my mom and I used to live with my Grandma (though my mom paid 1/2 of everything and drove my grandma everywhere and was the only one in the house who worked!). Even though she was the "bread winner" we would make her go watch M*A*S*H* on the 12 inch black and white TV in the bedroom because we both hated it! :happytv:

Poor the ole Moms!

Those were some fun TV days, though :D

I remember clearly that we liked to play "Charlie's Angels" (I wanted to be Jacklyn Smith) and sometimes "Land of the Lost" as make believe games. When we would play Land of the Lost we would always say, "COME CHAKA"

You gotta have your "Come, Chaka" if you're going to play Land of the Lost. ROFL :lmao:

Oh Yah! My DSIS had a really good "come, Chaka!" She's coming this weekend, I'll have to see if she remembers! :lovestruc

Oh Yeah! Love LOST!!! Lucy is my all time fav! And I was in love with David Cassidy, but I always wanted to be Laurie - I don't think I got the connection! :lmao: I got a little update on David lately in the mail - his wife is in my company now - she talked about him in her article!

They're living in Florida and he still works by doing appearances, producing, etc.

I also liked Fantasy Island and The Love Boat - that last theme song is on my phone when DH calls! :goodvibes

:lmao: Did you already have the Love Boat for the ring tone or did you take it from the youtube link or how does that work??

I really wish I would have seen David Cassidy in that roller skating Broadway-esque thing in Vegas when I was living there... It looked really good!

I was in  with Shaun Cassidy but of course my mom didn't quite "get it" and got me a T-Shirt with the other Hardy Boy, Parker Stevenson :sad2:

:lmao:

I love that somebody shares the "Come Chaka" memory with me... too funny! :hippie:

Shuan Cassidy was so cute. I really liked the Hardy Boys but it was on for such a really short time. I liked Fantasy Island as well, but you're right, one story was always a little scary. That's probably one of the reasons that I liked it so much and I hate scary movies or shows.
Natalie

I just noticed none of the links in my "trip down memory lane" tv post worked!

I think I fixed them. The links are to the theme songs. Hope you enjoy!

I read all the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew books!

I was a fan of all these shows but a little young for the "Tiger Beat" at that time. I didn't get into PIN-UPS until around "The Outsiders."

Please we need more trip, I've been so patiently waiting. Please say it isn't finished yet.popcorn::

I've been addicted to these STUPID vampire books! :lmao:

I say stupid because I hated the first one but then couldn't put down the second or third and now I'm on the fourth and final and I'm PROLONGING it because I don't want it to end! :sad1:

I promise to get motivated very soon though.... I can pump out an update pretty quick, I've been told. LOL

I don't want to get your hopes up though...I only have another 1/2 day at DL then I'm going to finish this TR with our time in San Diego (3 days, I think).

Thanks for waiting :flower3:  :flower3:

when were you there? Field trip?? :scared: lol

No, lol It used to be my church when I lived there.

Are you a Twilight fan?

No, lol It used to be my church when I lived there.

Are you a Twilight fan?

On Monday, November 24th I will be alone at a matinee being UTTERLY satisfied watching the theatrical release of my very favorite GUILTY PLEASURE of all time!

I hope the movie is as good as Urban Cowboy cause that's the shoe's it's got to fill (previous most bestest guilty pleasure of all time). :rolleyes1

Again, I want to say... the first book was NOT good in terms of I thought it was irresponsible to portray a relationship that was so unhealthy considering the audience is teenage girls. BUT, for me, as an adult, I liked it well enough. But the next three were really fun.

How cool that the Mission was your church. That is an awesome chapel! We took the tour and really liked it. Well, DDB and I. :hippie:
