Crystal Palace is one of those restaurants that I've never tried but would love to someday- especially if it's a pre-opening ADR so I can see Main Street without the crowds. How fantastic!

At that point she turns to me and says in a very intimidating voice "So you know, I'm next"

Well I aboslutely hate confrontation and this woman did scare me a little but I looked way up to her eyes and replied, "actually I was behind those ladies but I will let you go next. It's not a big deal" Well my friends, my reply did not sit well with her. She looked furious I dared to speak, glared at me and.....
hit me! Yes, she literally smacked my upper arm. I was shocked and didn't know what to say or do She then said something to me, but I was too startled to comprehend her, and then she stomped off.

I have never experienced anything like that, anywhere, so it happening at Disney made it seem all the more strange!

So that is my most unusual Epcot encounter!

I thought about just keeping quiet (in hindsight that might have been better) but I just didn't like that she was trying to bully me at my happy place!

Do you think maybe she was just a little mentally off? When I was about five, there was a young twenty-something girl on our street who was 'not quite right'. She saw me riding my bike on the sidewalk and came out to watch. She told me to ride down to a certain house and back, which I happily did to show off my five year old bike riding skills. Then she asked me to do it again. When I turned the bike around to go again, she whopped me right on the back of the head. HARD! It knocked me off the bike, and of course I was shocked and cried. Luckily, another neighbor was in her yard and saw it all, so she rescued me and went and told the girl's family.

Your person sounds like she might have been a little 'off', too, because that is just so, so strange to smack someone over a spot in line. Now, I do get that scenario with my second-graders sometimes....

Thank you. She didn't seem "off" to me but since it was brief encounter I can't really say for sure.

That must have been a scary thing for you as a child. I'm glad someone was there to look out for you! Today many adults would not get involved.

We've never had dinner at CP. We tried lunch and weren't crazy about it but in their defense it was near the end of their lunch time so maybe we visited at a bad time. You'll love breakfast there

So after our wonderful breakfast we talked about splitting up with Michele, and then meeting up again later, but before we split up Michele asked if there were any characters I wanted to see and that she could look them up on her Disney app and see when they would be out. Well I wanted to see Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen so she looked them up and we found they would be out shortly and started heading over to their spot in Liberty Square.

Now this may seem weird but I am not one of those people who gets very upset on the last day of our vacations. On the flight home I do, but when we are at our last park I just enjoy. I feel like getting upset about leaving only makes you waste your last day and not truly enjoy it. I always feel like we did everything and there isn't anything to go back to just to re-enjoy so I guess that's why I am okay with leaving. Also we are usually planning our next trip before our upcoming trip has started so that might help too

So as I enjoyed our final walk through the MK and took in all of the sights and sounds we stopped for a photopass shot. Now I haven't seen this magic shot on many, if any, TRs so it is one of my favorites!

It was taken on the bridge connecting the hub to Liberty Square. I felt odd taking a picture kissing the air but I love how it turned out!

After Michele got her picture taken as well, we headed to the line for our royal meet and greet! The line was a little long at that point so we were glad to have gotten there when we did!

After about ten minutes the royal couple came out and we patiently waited our turn. Tiana and Naveen were having a great time with everyone and being very chatty with every family. It was adorable watching them with other families and made me very excited for our meet.

When I got up there I asked them to sign my Mickey Mouse and Naveen said as long as they could sign the ears. Of course they could! While Naveen signed, Tiana looked at my lanyard. I don't remember what she said and I only remember this because of the pictures

While Tiana signed Naveen asked me where I was from and I said "Michigan". He said, "oh the hand state" and held up his hand and asked why people pointed to where they were in Michigan using their hand! I found it funny because everyone in Michigan does this since we are shaped like a mitten and I have never thought about how weird it must look to non Michiganders! We talked about that then we were ready to get our picture taken. Tiana said, "say cheese" and when they were about to take the picture Naveen let out a "ribbit!" I got a kick out of this and thought it was the coolest thing ever! Here are our pictures and then the pics with my mom and I. As you can see I am closer to Naveen because come on he is extremely handsome!

After we were done we stood off to the side while Michele met them. Michele told them she was from the New York area and Naveen said he would see her there in a few days. Turns out they were welcoming Tiana to the world of Princesses and our Naveen was the Naveen they had there!

Michele said goodbye and she looked just as smitten with Naveen as I did we said our goodbyes knowing we would see each other later and went off on our own.

We went and rode IASW which had no wait! I am not a huge fan of this ride but we had a good time!

Next we hit the Haunted Mansion which was also a walk on!

Oh how I love this ride! I have been listening to Disney radio in preparation for our next trip and I get so excited when I hear Grim Grinning Ghosts!! This ride wasn't as fun as usual though because on our way out was hay "pixie dust" covering up someone's explosion of fun....Yeah gross and smelled bad! They did a good job of hiding it though my grandma didn't even notice it!

We decided since we were in this area we would hit up the Riverboat! I don't recall ever having been on this before so I was excited. While we waited, we talked about where we wanted to eat and while I was making a phone call to WDW dining Michele walked up! We asked her if she wanted to join us for lunch at Tony's so I added her to the ADR and told the CM we were celebrating her birthday which was a few days prior to her trip. By the time I was done on the phone the boat was back and we boarded and proceeded to take tons of pictures!

The ride was fun and a nice way to get off your feet for a while! After our boat ride we decided to make a pit stop at the bathrooms then head over to POTC. While everyone was in the bathroom, I went into the pin store in Frontierland and bought three lanyards ( I like having one for each park) and bought some more pins. I am a little bit of a pin addict!

Once we were all back together we headed over and rode POTC. Another walk on! We were having great line luck that day! When we got done pillaging, and drinking our share of rum, we saw that the Pirate Tutorial was going on so we stopped and checked out a handsome swashbuckler!

After we were done we continued on our way to Tony's where we will pick up next time! (our trip is in 6 days we have to have something to keep us busy till then )

The frog PP is so cute! I hope we run into that one! I have yet to ride the Riverboat, it's been on my list but always gets missed. There are so many pretty views from there, and I've never seen the half painted fence! Love that!

I love it it's probably my favorite "magic" shot! You will have to ride it on this trip they have shaded areas on the boat so it would make a nice break in the afternoon!

Sounds like you had a nice meet-and-greet with Tiana and Naveen.

I really enjoyed the pictures in this chapter. The first one of the Haunted Mansion and the fence is my favorite. The Riverboat shots are nice too, and you managed to get better pictures on Small World than I've ever been able to get. Well done.
