We arrived in France about 10 minutes before our ADR so we took a little photo tour around the City of Light

Finally the hostess at Les Chef de France called our name and we were led to our table. We were among the first guests of the day so the place was pretty empty when we entered. Here is the view from our table..

Grandma and I had the salad

and French Onion soup (look at that cheese! YUM)

and lobster bisque

Complimentary warm bread is served with the meal and we must have had 2 loaves!

The meal was filling and warm on a cold day! When the chef came to our table we were able to give him our compliments! Is it just me or is it a little odd the chef there is a ummm, well umm a rat?!

We had read on the Dis that you should ask Chef Remy to dance. When we did he agreed and he danced while his "friend" sang. It was really cute! So if you ever meet him ask him if he'll dance for you :)

After Chef Remy's visit, dessert was served. We got 2 and split them both 3 ways. They were both delicious!
Profiteroles au chocolat

Crepe a la pomme et cannelle, glace vanille, caramel jus de pommes

(oops someone was too eager and took a bite before the picture)

It was a wonderful meal and we really enjoyed our visit to France!

Up next-grandma gets lost in Future World :scared1:

How neat that you guys got to see Remy!

The food looks delicious...what exactly was the chocolate dessert..it looks really good.

Caitlin's idea of shopping around the world sounds like an awesome idea...we'll have to try that in August.

Great updates.

All I can say is now you know how I felt every morning waiting for my partners to leave for the park! (insert smilie frown complete with fingers drumming on the table) LOL!

Caitlin's pictures are adorable. Hard to believe she was up at the crack of dawn, ran a race, traveled upteen million miles through the CM lodging, and she still looks great! ah youth!

I forgot all about that moose spit soap. I love that you are traveling around the world to pick up a souvie from each. Great idea.

Yummy lunch, especially dessert! I love Remy. I think I need a visit to Le Chefs!

Beautiful pictures!

We deliberately planned our meal so we could meet Remy since he only "appears" at certain times throughout the day. It did make the meal more fun :)

The chocolate dessert was basically cream puffs filled with ice cream and smothered in chocolate sauce. It was wonderful!

Caitlin loves shopping and had a great time picking out something in each country :goodvibes

I totally understand how you felt!

Thank you. I think Caitlin is a cutie but I might be a bit biased :goodvibes

She had a great time finding just the right thing in each country. The amount she spent varied but it was a lot of fun searching!

The dessert was my favorite part of the meal!

Great update....I love that Caitlin wanted to "shop" around the world....I usually "drink" around the world:lmao:maybe nexxt trip I'll try the shopping;)

Shopping around the world was fun and she found some inexpensive things so it wasn't too costly. Dale always enjoys drinking around the world too

On our second Epcot day we did something else around the world that was even more fun!

Good shot. Not a lot of random people scattered all over the fountain. :thumbsup2

Love the Chefs and Remy pictures. The desserts look incredible!

Thank you! It was still early so WS wasn't too crowded yet and most of the people in France at that time were lined up at Chefs hoping to get a walk up.

Remy was a lot of fun (once I got passed feeling squeamish ) and the desserts were worth going back for! :thumbsup2

When I asked Remy if he could dance, his handler (a guy) said, "OH! Mademoiselle wants to dance with Remy!" ...and then made me get up and dance!!

Beautiful pictures of the F&G festival so far :thumbsup2

What a great idea Caitlin has shopping around the World Showcase ! I have to ask did it end up costing her much to shop at every country ?

Nice pictures from Chefs De France , the food looked super yummy & Remy was adorable !

Oh no Grandma gets lost :scared1: Can't wait to hear this story

Thank you!

Shopping around the world was fun and wasn't too costly. Her items ranged from $2 for a keychain up to $50 for a hoodie(which she would have bought anyway) so it could be done on a budget.

I wasn't really looking forward to eating in France so I was pleasantly surpised by the experience :)

Things with grandma started going downhill fast :sad2:

We liked Chefs de France especially for Remy.
But we thought the food was average (and actually tough to find good items for kids) and the tables were squished together.
Basically, it felt very crowded and not as relaxed as some other places.
For example, Le Cellier is much smaller but we felt like we at least had elbow room.
At Chefs, we were basically dining initimately with our neighbors.
What were your thoughts?

The soup and salad were good but nothing exceptional. The desserts were great though!

We were the first or second table seated that day and we were in the windowed room and it didn't feel overly crowded that early in the day. I don't care for the darkness in LeCellier which feels more crowded to me than Chefs did. Another condsideration may be party size and table placement? While we enjoyed the meal we won't be rushing back to Les Chefs anytime soon. There are still places we need to try and others we prefer more :)

Hey Dawn and Caitlin! I'm back from WDW and just got all caught up with your TR. Congrats on running the race Caitlin. And Chefs de France sounds like a great way to follow it up. I really think that it's my favorite restaurant at EPCOT. Plus, now that it had Remy it's even more fun!

France is so pretty! I love just sitting by the fountain and watching the people go by. Les Chefs looks really pretty as well. And Remy is so cute! :lovestruc

I love Caitlin's shopping around the World idea. I might just have to try that sometime. ;)

Aww, look how cute Chef Remy is! I love that little banner outside too.

Shopping around the world sounds like a great idea.
