what is the first thing you do when you go to dlrp. do you have a tradition?

The first thing we do in the Disneyland Park is head to City Hall for DB's disabled pass because it makes the rest of the day much easier for all of us.

This is usually the first thing we do overall, although when we went at the end of last month, DB decided he wanted to go to the Studios instead.

Walk up main street and admire the castle, then head for Fantasyland.

we always take the customary photo of the DH can't help ourselves ! Then I love the check out all the new windows in Main Street USA before walking through the Castle, I just love it !!!

Our tradition is to ride POC the first time we are in the park.

That always used to be our traditional first ride, but the last few trips saw us arriving during EMH on our first day, so it has become Buzz.

We have only been once before, we arrived on the saturday and just really looked for the smallest queue, we only managed the teacups ride that day. The next day we met up with my friend who has been there every year and we sort of took up their tradition of going on POC first.

However this year I would really like to try and get BTM done first when we arrive on the sunday, presuming it gets dark by 8ish as I would like to do that ride in the dark.

I LOVE BTM in the dark! When we last did it all the Halloween pumpkins were there so it was a little bit spooky, it was just before the park closed and we went on 3 times in a row!

Our usual first ride is POTC.

This October will be my little boy's 1st trip so it will probably be either the Railroad around the park or IASW just so that his 1st ride isn't one that might put him off for the rest of the week

We usually arrive in Disneyland park at lunch time so we head over to Cafe Hyperion and have Burger and chips and a coke then we are ready to hit the rides.
In fact i dont know what we would do if we didnt go to Cafe Hyperion first it is a Grove Family tradition. W e have even got our friends to do the same thing when we have been on our adults only trips it sets us up for the day as w e have usually been up since early hours.

When we used to arrive at lunchtime, we'd go to Casey's Corner for hotdogs before going for a walk around and soaking up the atmosphere. We always find it really difficult to choose a first ride - its got to be 'right' and thus changes!

Now we get there really early we skip the hotdogs, but the confusion remains the same

The first thing we do is walk down Main St, take a photo with the castle in the background and ride IASW. Always!

Unfortunately for us the flights from Belfast are very late ....so the first thing we do is get settled into our room and try to get to sleep so that tomorrow comes sooner.
