Just got back on Thursday and already wish that I could go back. :D

Flew in the day before our four day cruise (1/2-1/6) and stayed at the radison near the port. We had transportation from the hotel to teh Disney Port. Wasn't to hard getting on board, especially when everyone was let in early. My brother and sister were able to be signed up for the clubs right at the terminal. We got on the ship, ate a fabulous lunch at Beach Blanket Buffet and then headed for our staterooms. Luggage was already there so it worked out great. From there we split up kind of. My parents went with my siblings to the Oceaneer Clubs and Lab while I went to the Aloft. The Aloft was just perfect in every way. Jsut what I was not expecting and everyone there had a good time. Ate dinner at Tritons and then headed off to the show. Hercules the Muse-ical. Personally my favorite.
On Monday, we thought that Nassau was an OK experience. I got my hair braided while my sis got her's done on Castaway Cay. Spent most of teh day just walking around the city. My mom's pedometer said taht we walked 15 miles so I would say taht it was good. Ate dinner at Animators Palate, I though the show at the end was ok, and then saw the comedian that they had on the boat. I was at Aloft so I can't give a review but my sister said that he was really good.
Tuesday, arrived at Castaway Cay at seven in the morning and the water was just perfect. WE got off as soon asa we cound after brunch so my sister could have her hair done. We paid for the excersion that had floats, snorkiling, and bicycles. We did all that and still had time to lay out in the sun. Also we did the Banana Boat. THAT WAS A BLAST!!! A word of caution is to bring goggle. Ate lunch at Cookies BBQ and for the first time tried Soft serve Cookie Dough Ice cream. delicious. That night we ate at Parrot Cay and saw the new show, The Golden Mickey's. It was really good show.
Wednesday, our last day at sea. Slept in till about nine, and ate a perfect lunch and breakfast at Beach Blanket buffet again. We saw the show, Dreams or somenthing, the Disney signature show. After taht my family again just split up and eachof us went our seperate ways. At dinner at Tritons again and said good bye to our servers, Ashley and Laurie. That night I stayed up and went to the pool party for teens only.

Thursday,
Aroused by mom at about six a.m. got dressed, did all the packing the night before. And at a sad breakfast at Beach Balanket Buffet. :guilty: From there we got off the ship and headed into customs. WE were in and out of there in less that twenty minutes.

That was our very short cruise, but was still very wonderful.(no pun intended).

great report- glad you and family enjoyed yourself!!
thanks for sharing :flower:

Could you elaborate more on the teen club? Were there more older teens, younger teens. Were you by yourself or with a family member? Sounds like you made friends? How much time did you spend there? Thanks!

We were on the same cruise. My 14y/o and almost 13y/o boys went to the teen club. There were about 130 teens on board and 60 or so were 16 & 17. I know this because Dan, the counselor quoted these numbers when we were deciding if to allow our almost 13 y/o go to the teen club (Aloft) or the lab. The boys told me that not many of the older teens were around much. The teen club was open noon to 2AM. It was a come and go schedule with some planned activiities- glow basketball and volleyball, teen pool party, scanvenger hunt, GOTCHA game. In ALOFT, they computer games, PS2, TV, music CD's, board games. There were 4 counselors assigned to the area. My 14 y/o son passed on the Junkaroo excursion, but loved the Wild Side at Castaway Cay.

Counselor Dan was quite candid with the Kids about some risky behaviors. He explained to them that there were many cameras on the boat and if any boy and girl would engage in "conversation" it would be caught on Camera. I liked his choice of coy language, but my boys understood although they are a bit young for romance. But I asked them if any the couples were seen "chatting" much and they said no only one couple of 16y/os with arms around each other. Then referring to Nassau, he told the kids pretty straight that it was legal in the Bahama for the police to entrap people and if they were approched by anyone offering drugs they should stay clear. I was very pleased with my sons experience.

Actually Madoug I totally agree with you.

All the couselers were great! I didn't go on any of the excursions but I still had a blast with the rest of them. actually, not to sound rude but do your sons have blond hair. I think that I have met them. :bitelip:

yes, Andrew has straight hair, blue eyes. Craig has brown eyes, real skinny, played basketball and ps2 alot.

OK. Then I also saw you at the Who want's to be a Mouseketeer thing on the last day.

When is the next cruise that would be the least crowded to go on?

Is anybody thinking of going for Christmas? Just wanted to know!

Awesome trip report.

Can you explain what "Aloft" is? I know that on the Magic they have the Stack, is this the same thing?

Aloft is the Teen Club that is on the wonder...

If u go to the cruise site u can see pic's but mostly it is a hangout place...There r listening stations where u can listen to almost any song that there is. The is a bar type of thing that serves soft drink, free of charge. And there are two or three big screen TV's, and they will play any movie that they have.

Dan, is also the best couseler. There is also Helen, and another who is Charley.
