If you are considering either AKV or BWV at this point, then a factor in the consideration should be end date: 2042 for BWV and 2057 for AKV. We own at both. BWV has the best view, boardwalk view, on site. Its location is ideal, you can walk or boat to two parks and about two dozen restaurants. It is still our favorite resort. However, it has one major downside. Its bus system sucks. It shares with Swan/Dolphin and sometimes also with YC/BC. Every bus system on site has issues but BWV has them to an order of magnitude. I have stayed at most resorts at WDW over many years and BWV has been the worst for having problems. The times are legion when we have sat at the BWV bus station waiting 45 minutes or more for our bus to MK while watching three to four AK buses come, or vice versa, or stood 45 minutes or more (and a number times well over an hour) waiting for a bus to come at MK or AK, and when one arrives the driver is never aware there was any delay.
What we have found at AKV is one the best bus systems on site. Problems occur once in a while but with less frequency than we have experienced anywhere else. And though it is further to Epcot, Studios and MK than any other resort, we have found that we usually have less time in combined wait, stops, and travel time to those parks than other resorts that use buses to those locations. It definitely puts BWVs bus system to shame, likewise for BLT. It also has excellent restaurants, excellent theming, the animals, the sleeper chairs that pull out to twin size in the 1 and 2 BRs, and large 1 and 2BRs with an extra bathroom at Kidani. if you have a car, Kidani also has ideal under building parking and with elevators along the wings, you can always park fairly close to your room.
