With the war that has been declared on Law Enforcement right now, my thought is they will have a hard time convicting her at this time in our country. :sad2:

I guess that is possible. I wonder if any of the 3 jurors will talk. But from what he said it may would have helped. He said it was kind of had to believe as it was a real person she was wanting to kill. Maybe they will call him next time.

I stopped watching Vinny Politan in the morning during the Harris trial because of that Dr Joyce. OMG, beyond annoying. She had it all figured out that Ross Harris was disconnected from his son because he referred to him as my boy and not by his name, or something like that. Whaaatt? I sometimes call my son my boy, and he's 23. It's a term of endearment for me. I don't do it in front of other people and I don't know what I would do if I was, God help me, mourning him. I suppose I would call him whatever came naturally in my grief. Geez.

I don't know if the current situation with law-enforcement really affected this trial, in the sense that without it she would have been convicted. They seem to suggest that it did. Shoddy investigations often come up in trials...that's how doubt is introduced as to the validity of the evidence. And in this trial, there was a whole bunch of crazy crap going on, even with the limited testimony I saw. Not recording ALL the phone calls the informant made because the lead investigator didn't work 24/7 and couldn't let his recorder be used by somebody else?? The whole Cops show connection was just crazy, on top of that. It just made the investigators look too eager to snare someone.
I did not like the fact that a few of there witness's were laughing. To me murder is no laughing matter. That is exactly what this woman tried to do. They need to instruct them not to do that. And them bringing in the cops show at that point in time did not help. If they wanted the show they should have used like they do the rest of the cop shows. Not focusing on her. That did not help their case either. But they did get a conviction the first time.

DATELINE HAS A REPORT ON DALIA DIPPOLLITTO TONIGHT AT 10, I THINK. It's a two hour Dateline... 9 PM to 11 PM...and they're doing two different stories and that's the second one so I'm not sure if it's exactly at 10.

Good morning! It was all 3 women who found Dalia not guilty. There is a hearing for AH today. Would anyone like the tweets?

So if they retry, hopefully there will be transcripts, and Mike on the stand. I believe they can still convict her if they use all of their information against her, like they should have done (for the second trial.)
Though I have to admit, I don't know if I can stand to listen to that marble-mouthed friend all over again, lol. I may just stick to the tweets!

So they couldn't understand what DD was saying in the recordings. The defense argued about the transcripted conversation on the bottom of the screen and won that. The state better make darn sure they get that in next time. Why the heck didn't the judge let that in?? :sad2:
I sat here and wondered how her own words didn't convict her, now I know they couldn't understand the tape.
If anyone deserves jail time its DD!

I don't think it was Dippolito they couldn't understand, it was the boyfriend. I agree with gemini2727, the State needs to put Mike on the stand so they can show Dippolito's character to the jury, run a smear campaign on her like they did Ross Harris. Mike met her as an escort, they partied together and then got married after six months. And he suspected her of trying to sabotage his probation and she had him sign over his house to her. Tell the background to their relationship.

The problem comes from the boyfriend, Mohamed Shihadeh who needs to drop the dumb thug speech pattern, although it won't help the video nor any transcripts because who the heck knows what he's saying. Maybe the State could ask him yes and no questions.

And there's still the problem of what was said in Chili's since the cops did seem to know what was said according to Shihadeh's testimony about Dippolito taking Mike a to go dinner, yet there's no recording. Did the recording device fail or what? Have the cops testify as to what was said although the State's cop testimonies need desperate work. Law enforcement work can be horribly demoralizing but that has to be set aside when that cop is testifying in a criminal case. That lead investigator needs his *** chewed out good for his lousy and unprofessional testimony. And that public information officer who is not a cop, the State needs to impress upon the jury she's just a publicity agent, not a cop even though they do employ her. If anything good can come from this particular trial, it's one they should show in law enforcement classes as to what comes from misuse of rules of evidence/protocol and piss poor testimony by law enforcement.

I hope these ladies never have to deal with an issue like this and then someone say they don't believe they set someone up to be murdered.

Ugh, exactly. The public info officer was so unlikeable and smug, I think she definitely hurt the pros case. She needs to learn some professionalism on the stand.
