Wanted to pass along this info. I think most of us followed the Casey Anthony trial. Do you remember the mitigation specialist, Rosalie Martinez Bolin, who had left her prominent lawyer husband for the guy on death row, Oscar Ray Bolin? He's scheduled to be executed tonight at 6 PM.
Why are mitigation specialists so loony? Remember Bibbiby Bobbidy Boo lady from Jodi's trial? (Is that what we called her?)
Anyway, here's an article about Rosalie from back in the CA case. I saw a film a while back that one of her daughters made about her mother and about (she, the daughter) going to prison to meet Bolin, IIRC.

Here's an article about the execution being scheduled for tonight, and about the trials...how many times the convictions were overturned. 10 trials, for 3 murders, all 10 convictions.

And this...the Ross Harris "hot car death" trial has be been moved to April.

On a lighter note...
How was your daughter's wedding? I would love to hear some details.

Hope everyone is doing well.
The wedding was incredible! We had such a great time. It was the most hectic week of my life. We arrived at WDW several days before, and DD had us hopping constantly! After the reception, we went to Epcot, and I swear, I could have fallen asleep on a bench if I had found one private enough. I didn't know how I'd make it to the nighttime events, but I did. An awesome day. Then, a few weeks later, another reception at home. Honestly, I preferred the small, more intimate WDW wedding (30+ people, vs 120+). But both were wonderful, and over and done with! We adore our new SIL and his family, and they've welcomed us into their family as much as they have welcomed her. We adore them.
On a happy note my son proposed to his girlfriend Wednesday night, I'm so happy and excited for them. They are such a beautiful couple. They have been together since high school, almost 7 years now.
Congratulations to your son, his fiancé, and the families! It's an exciting time!
My guess would be within the next 2 years. She had said she would like a summer wedding, but being in South Florida, I am hoping she will change her mind and do a winter wedding. My daughter's wedding was in Disney in 2008 in February and we were worried it would be cold, it ended being in the high 80's that day, she was melting on the Grand Floridian beach taking pictures. You can never tell what you are gonna get here.
No no no on the summer wedding in FL! LOL DD's wedding was originally supposed to be this past summer, and I was mortified. We've been there in the summer before, and I am so NOT a heat person. For various reasons, it was rescheduled for Fall, and the weather was lovely, thankfully. Altho, like you said, you just never know...we've been there in October when it's been dreadfully hot, and December, when we had warm days wearing shorts, and nights in winter coats. But I think with summer in FL, it's a pretty safe bet that it will be HOT.
I used to work for a Podiatrist. Bunion surgery is one of the most painful "bone" surgeries. Take it easy, stay off of it if that is what the doc says. Follow the instructions! Feel better soon!
I'm so glad you said that, and I actually saw it back when you posted (don't ask me how I get so "busy" being off my feet for weeks on end that I think "Oops, didn't get to respond today...tomorrow, for sure!" Every day. Sheesh.) I showed my DH, as proof of my reasons for inactivity.

I have to say tho, I had surgery on a Tuesday, and the last time I took pain meds was noon on that Thursday. I'm just over 6 weeks post-op, and it is uncomfortable, and achey at times, but for the most part, things have gone very well, Oh, except for this...a few days after I got the cast off, I sprained my ankle. Sheesh! I was trying to walk through a narrow space (the coffee table was pushed over near one of the couches) wearing the boot and the leveler, and got my bad foot stuck against the other one and twisted it. It's been one of the most uncomfortable parts of my recovery. Very annoying. Less than two weeks till the other one. I learned a LOT about how to deal with a surgical foot...how to do things, what to have on hand (I got a new IKEA 4 level cart for Christmas, now organized with everything I need nearby

), and what to expect recovery-wise.
Hope everyone had a very merry Christmas and a great New Year!
