There's a verdict for Hemy Neuman. It's on courtchatter. They're gathering in the courtroom. Should be very soon.

I always wonder if when they poll a jury anyone ever announces that they do in fact disagree with the verdict.

Right, no surprise you've got several devices going. ;) :lmao:

I'm glad it was a clean verdict, no question as to mental health.
Haha!

I didn't really follow either trial, but the first time mental illness played into the verdict, but not this time? Do you know what his first sentence was?

Sentencing at 1:30 this afternoon.

It Takes a Killer profiled Jodi Arias recently. Nothing new. As a matter of fact, same old same old, including "the camera had been thrown in the washing machine to destroy the pictures." I will always disagree with that. I think in the frenzy of the killing (she did not expect such a battle with him) and clean up, she lost track of it and it just got tangled up in the sheets and towels, and she couldn't find it and had to get the hell out of there. Maybe not a biggie, but it killed me how the defense claimed she knew enough about cameras to know putting it through a wash wouldn't kill the pictures.

I do not know the details of his first trial and I barely recall Andrea's trial now.

I totally agree with you, she was in a frenzy to get out of there.

And I disagree that she shot him after cutting his throat and dragging him back to the shower. I think she shot him first and he tried to get away from her which led to her cutting his throat down the hall after stabbing him all the while he was crawling.

Yesterday they came back with a question, they wanted the DSM book for the mental. We thought they were believing the illness game. I am so glad they did not buy that. Good morning everyone.

The retrial of Collen McKernan trial is going.

The Brack trial started yesterday. it was getting good and now no stream darn them....

Hey snuz!

I don't know. I always found that confusing. Maybe because when Dr Horn spoke, I'd follow him anywhere. :)

Anyone know the Russ Faria case? He was convicted of murdering his wife Betsey several years ago. I was watching the story on a crime show back then, and was shocked when they said he had been convicted. The case was largely based on the testimony of her friend Pam Hupp, who really threw him under the bus. And Pam Hupp had allegedly gotten Betsey (who had terminal cancer) to make HER beneficiary of a life insurance policy DAYS BEFORE THE MURDER, allegedly so that Betsey could be sure her daughters (not Russ's I don't think) would be sure to get the money. After Betsey's murder, Pam Hupp refused to hand over the money. The daughters sued. Not sure of the outcome (I think they lost), but Pam Hupp was extremely obnoxious on the stand. Basically spent all the money.

Anyway...Russ Faria got a new trial (bench) and was found NOT GUILTY; the judge had a lot to say about the questionable investigation. Many people believe it was Pam Hupp who muredered her. Of course, prosecutors/investigators believe they had the right person first time in Russ Faria, but I'm guessing they're not too keen on admitting a HUGE mistake.

Sssoooo...the reason I'm posting this is that Pam Hupp was arrested for first degree murder in the death of a man last week. She claimed he approached her when she got out of her car and he followed her into the house, therefore "self-defense." (Yeah, we've heard that one before.) But he had disabilities that bring into question even going the distance to her house. The article doesn't say exactly what they have to charge her with FIRST degree murder.

AND the article says that in 2013, her mother who lived on the third floor of an assisted living facility was found dead under a deck, apparently from a fall. No foul play (?) but Pam had made excuses for her missing a couple of meals. I wonder if she was a beneficiary of her mother's life insurance.

Sounds like a serial killer!

You can see how obnoxious she is here with regard to the insurance money trial:

I just finished reading the article I posted. NUTS! She is pure evil. I wonder if there was a life insurance policy on her mother, or an inheritance.

You know that any defense is going to include a claim of insanity. But she knew what she was doing. ::yes::

To try to pin this on Russ Faria... smh

I just woke up and trying to read about this case. I will have to go back and read everything.Sounds so twisted. I guess when waking up not the best time to figure this out. LOL. Keep an eye on it.I can't wait for this woman who may have to get on the stand in the Mckernan trial. Her story ought to be good,

I guess she acted everything out with her atty. She did some damage.
