The Fatten'em Plan: A Trip Report w/ pics

Cass,

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed reading your trip report. Great Job!

Kathy

Great report, Cass, we have really enjoyed reading it. You guys sound like you had the time of your lives, that is so awesome.
If you don't mind, I have a quick question about the AKL...we are headed there in May, and have booked a 1 bedroom suite for the first 3 nights of our 11 night stay @ WDW, (of course with the Sunrise Safari!!!). Do you know the different locations of the 1 bedroom suites? I know that there are only 5 on property, but I have been unable to find anything about where they are.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi jusmom, thanks for reading my TR, glad you enjoyed it.

Okay - look at this photo, at the 'ends' of the last sections on the various trails you can see three thatched round roof areas. These are the suites.

Great TR! It took me hours but I read the whole thing without so much as a bathroom break. I couldnt tear myself away from it. Someone linked me to it because I'm looking into the Platinum Plan for my birthday trip in September and I'm on the fence about what to do.. any advice? I'm usually a Value resort kind of girl but I've decided that I want this to be the trip of a lifetime so if we could maybe chat sometime soon and compare notes I'd really appreciate that.

thanks again!

You poor thing, not even one bathroom break? :rotfl:

Good luck with your planning, remember this though - with the Platinum Plan in order to get the best return for your investment you need to have your three meals a day, do some tours, see shows and do the recreation side of it.... this really cuts into your park time. So it is really a different kind of trip.

have fun planning!

wow, what an awesome trip and such an awesome TR! you must have put a LOT of effort into it- love your writing style!

Thanks SC_Pooh & ElleBelle, glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see you posting trip reports soon :)

:surfweb: That's me right now enjoying the last of your TR. WOW, what a trip! I don't think we'll ever be able to manage a vacation with all of those perks, so it was really enjoyable to have "done it" with you. Thanks for taking us along!

Sounds like a wonderful trip and you wrote a wonderful report! I highly enjoyed your account and cant wait to take in your next adventure! :goodvibes

What a wonderful TR. You've got me even more anxious for my trip in May on the platinum plan. I know we plan to eat, eat and eat. My DH is a walking garbage disposal (I joke about how he wakes up in the middle of the night for his 4am feedings of cereal or peanut butter sandwiches -- he really does!) so I have a feeling we'll get our money's worth in food alone. I am also SORELY tempted to try out a VIP tour guide. I have like zero willpower when it comes to spending money on VIP things. It only reinforces my mom's theory that I had to have been a Miss Scarlet or pretty pretty Princess in a previous life :p

Have only made it to page 12 so far. But WOW! What a trip! If I had an extra $1-2K a day (yeah, right LOL!) I would do VIP in a heartbeat! Sounded like a fantastic trip! Thanks for the wonderful report.

I missed this how?!!!!?

I cannot believe I missed the whole thing!

I just read it from start to finish. It was wonderful. Go back to Disney now and write another.

Wow 16 pages and still going good! :goodvibes
I cant wait until your next trip Cass!:)
