The Fatten'em Plan: A Trip Report w/ pics

Hi there, yes we could get a food item and a drink item (ie) a giant pretzel and a coke - or a water and a popcorn, or a coffee and a cookie - but, we had to charge it and then have concierge credit it back to our account.

Fantasmic Seating was just anywhere on the far right side, just like the package people - nothing special.

Thanks for the quick response. I don't mind room charging then getting credited back - cms never seem to get the plat or premium plans. It's not like they are new - the DDP concept is much newer lol. Just wanted to make sure our plans to get soda and popcorn were still the correct use of the snack credit.

Cass, thanks so much for the excellent trip report! You really cheered me up today, since we just got back a week ago from DL and DCA, and I'm missing my extended family and my nuclear family is grouchy today! I hope Noel appreciates what a terrific Mom she has! I hope you're printing out and saving the trip reports for her! :goodvibes

I really enjoyed reading your TR! You said not to do Concierge AND the Platinum plan. Which one would you recommend over the other?

Hi Martha7 - I hear you on the post trip blues :( glad my TR cheered you up a bit :)

Hi Blueeyed girl. For the amount of times we skipped meals either because we weren't hungry or because the lounge was just so much easier (and good) I would have to say take the concierge and no plan.

All this of course depends on whether you are really into recreation - if you are golfers or into the water craft rentals, it could work out in your favour to take the plan.

When I was eating at the lounge I was feeling guilty about not eating at the restaurants and when I was eating at the restaurants I was thinking that I just could have grabbed something in the lounge - pulling me in two directions. My travelling companion, and the kids also prefered the casual lounge life to dining out.

Hope this helps

Thanks so much for the info. Sounds like I should check into concierge. Water sports....we can do that at home. Golf....we stink at it. CONCIERGE IT IS!!:rotfl2:

Which concierge are you thinking about? that matters too. WL & BC were not as nice as AKL :)

I just read your trip report in about two hours and my eyes are all dry and bleary from non-stop staring at the computer screen :rotfl:

That being said, I couldn't tear myself away from it! This was one of the best TR's I've read in a while, I really enjoyed it. And I love that you posted so many pictures, that always makes it more fun :) And the VIP tour sounds so cool. I'd love to try that one day.

Thanks for sharing with us! :goodvibes

Oh you poor thing!

I'm unsure at this time. It would be for a future trip. Possibly later this year or this time next year. Our upcoming trip will be at AKL so I will be able to get an idea of everything you've talked about. I can't wait to finally step foot into that resort!:cool1:

Wow! Cass, this trip report is fabulous!! I'm just getting started now as I hadn't been around for a few weeks. I'm hooked after reading the first couple of chapters - can't wait to read the rest. popcorn:: :thumbsup2

Hi DebIreland, I could have used one of your nifty colour coordinated plotting chart/plans/schedules on this trip :)

Thanks for stopping by to read.

Cass!!

It's poor-memory girl from the restaurant boards who finally remembered to come looking for your TR.

I haven't had a chance to read much yet, but I just wanted to let you know how much I've enjoyed reading about your first day.

Can I ask now without spoiling anything...did you like afternoon tea?

B.

Hi there, thanks for stopping by :)

Well, about Tea, something transpired that prevented us from keeping our ADR at the GF and I was really really really really really upset about it :(

What we did instead didn't come close at all - for enjoyment level - and on top it all someone called me called Sir :scared1:

Thanks for dredging up those painful memories for me... bahahahaha :rotfl:

Next time I'm going with you... and your Mom

Oh my!! I just read your entire trip report, and it sounded so magical!! :wizard: All the birthdays, surprises, tours, etc. It just sounded so perfect. You did a great job planning it and I am sure you and everyone that went with you will remember it for a lifetime. :goodvibes Great TR! Thank you so much for sharing!

Thanks Cinderella16, :)

The last day could have been a little better! but I'm not complaining.

Thanks for reading.

Excellent TR!! :thumbsup2

I should have been working but sometimes you just gotta keep reading. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about your adventures at WDW - great pictures and some laugh-out-loud moments (thank you sir, may I have another?).

Sorry about the tea - I think you really would have liked it. You want to try going with the Grimace sometime? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

If you haven't started your dining review yet, would you let me know when you do? I'd love to read that too! :goodvibes

Wow, you read the whole thing in one shot instead of working? :thumbsup2

Good job!

Glad you enjoyed it - I will let you know when I do a dining report, I am a little bummed that we kept forgetting to take pics :sad2:

you were so disiplined in your dining report with the glorious food pics :goodvibes

Yeah... how does one remember to take pictures of the food? I think I got 1 pic of the Lapu Lapu drink out of 450 some pics and a wk of meals! I just get so wrapped up in the meal, I guess.

You did way better than I did Cass. :P
