bahahahahaha! :rotfl:

I have some questions about the Platinum Plan! I was going to PM you, but I thought other people might want to learn too... :teacher:

(i) It is supposed to include "Personalized Itinerary Planning" - how far in advance did someone call you? Did they help with all your ADRs and rec/tour bookings?

(ii) Did you receive all the "extras" when you checked in? Such as La Nouba tickets, passes to the preferred access viewing areas for Illuminations and Wishes etc.

I think that's it... I'm sure there will be more questions later!!

Thank you!! :goodvibes

I did the Platinum plan in September !

The IPO staff contact you . They sent me a itininary planning sheey .It had things such as transportation to/from airport ie limo, towncar, other-i idid magic express.

You list all your adrs and theater shows .La Nouba had 2 ticket seating choices preferred and something else.
The platinum plan also includes a spa treatment
and dining at V&A and inroom dining.
It also includes the tours- i did one of the Epcot tours.
You can either fax, email or call the information to them.
I did the Illunimations cruise and the Wishes vip viewing.

Yes i received the LaNouba tickets and the crusie voucher and vip seating information at the hotel

That's it! I've decided I want to travel with you from now on!:rotfl2:

Great trip report! Can't wait to read how it all ends!

Hi Wazzo, disneytraveller pretty well covered the details.

In my case I had booked concierge first - room only, and I had some ADR's through the itinerary planners which are included.

Later I added the Platimum Plan, and they were right on me to get my cruise date and fireworks viewing dates etc...

I started booking things 3 - 4 months ahead and had everything pretty well set by 60 days ahead.

Some things came with the documents in advance - like the platinum keepsake voucher, the preferred fireworks viewing vouchers, but other things came at check in like the La Nouba vouchers and the fantasmic voucher.

Wait until you see the Platinum Keepsake (in my next installment) you will need some room in your luggage to get it home :rotfl:

Wow. It's really a shame I'm too old to be adopted by you. :rolleyes1
I can't believe how much great stuff you were able to squeeze into your
trip!

I have been fortunate to celebrate birthdays at Disney. (Twice at
California Grill, too!) And I've stayed concierge at AKL for my
Nov 2003 trip solely for the purpose of being eligible to book the Sunrise
Safari! (I am dreaming of those salmon cakes at the Tusker House
breakfast!)

But I know that the Platinum Plan and/or the VIP Tour service is way out
of my budget, so I enjoyed living the experiences vicariously through you!

I am sad to hear about your reality slap when you called home. I am glad
the boy is safe, and my heart goes out to them.

I'm waiting impatiently for the rest of your report. popcorn::

Noel often reads trip reports on the DIS and after this pic she said to me 'Suzy and Pearla are my mothers and I'm their little baby'

If you know what I am talking about here, you are laughing. If you don't know what I'm talking about here, feel grateful. LOL

Oh, dear. The poor girl's spent too much time DISing!

You don't know me, but I was looking for a good TR to read tonight (I work nights) and yours is wonderful. So sad it's almost over, though.

Wow....all caught up now, Cass! What a dream trip. I also wanted to say that I read your whole British Isles TR on your web site and again....WOW! Those 2 trips in one year! You are so blessed to be able to travel so well and so extensively. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Love, love, love your trippie! I really enjoyed reading about the Dolphins in Depth and your magical experience at California Grill. :cloud9:

I have been sooooo enjoying living vicariously through you and yours during this TR...what a dream vacation...right up there with getting the keys to the Kingdom!!

Thanks for sharing the magic!!

I, along with everyone else, sit anxiously and wait for more...popcorn:: popcorn::

Happy belated Birthday!!!

Cass, what an AMAZING trip you planned! That platinum plan sounds like a dream. But it does not include the VIP tour? That was extra???? Well, you're right -- you can't take it with you, eh? (that's for you, my Canadian friend.)

Your daughter is so sweet to want the photo and the tshirt for her friend. You must be very proud of her.

He's okay and out of the hospital but did not return to school. His mother will NOT send him back there. The police are investigating the whole thing and they are trying to find a new school to put him in.

The gang that attacked him all wear blue and he was wearing a red jacket and hat - apparently the rival gang wears red so they thought he was a member. The boy goes to a Catholic School and the gang was from a public school, they were all underaged and can't be charged with anything serious.

It's a real mess and runined this family's Christmas although they feel lucky he was okay.

Thanks for asking, it really threw me for a loop. I don't know what I would do if something like this happened to Noel. She goes to a private school and only had 13 kids in her class.

I'm so glad he's OK! Way back when I was in high school, some kids from another school hid out in the boys room and jumped whoever walked in. One kid had a punctured lung and broken teeth from it! It breaks my heart when stuff like that happens. It makes you want to keep your kids in a bubble, of course I know you can't. You just have to pray for the best. I feel sorry for the kids who did it too. They don't have too bright of a future if they don't change their ways.

Thanks for the update! I'm really looking forward to hearing about the rest of the trip. HAPPY NEW YEAR! :cheer2:

It makes you want to keep your kids in a bubble, of course I know you can't.

I've been doing a pretty good job of it so far! :rotfl2: but those days are ending pretty soon when she leaves her nice little private school for Grade 9. :scared:

I'm not sure I have done her any favours by having her live a sheltered life, but time will tell.

Thanks for reading my trippie everyone, I am getting ready for new years eve but trying to finish the last day of my TR too.

Happy New Years, eh!

Happy New Year Cass!
Lol i think i remember that you got the same gift from the plan i did.

Can't wait to read the ending of your TR. You now have me investigating the Platinum Plan for my Disneymoon...I am adding up all the extras to see if it is really a difference. I was interested to see the fireworks cruise was included in the plan now.

I do have a question about the La Nouba tickets...I know you did not use them this time but could you get ANY ticket or are you only able to choose tickets from a certain category???

Also did they say anything to you about the Spa treatments in your documents? When I was reading about it last night on the Disney website it said you can get 1 spa tx per person...that would be very nice to add on a honeymoon :goodvibes

TIA and looking forward to see what the keepsake is.

The La Nouba tickets are for the best seats in the house, the highest $$ tickets.
:)

Of course, it's subject to what's available when you book so you should book as soon as you know what night you want.

Yes there is a spa treatment per person included, we all had facials booked but we just ran out of time. (you can also get a swedish massage)

I suspect with honeymooning you would have more time to do things like this, spa, shows, recreation etc...

I did the spa facial treatment to. Funny thing was that i was charged for it but the desk took it right off. I guess the spa did not know about it the plan.

Yep, the Platinum is a big mystery to everyone except the guests who take it.

They really need to work on that. I've written a couple letters explaining the drawbacks of the snacks and the fantasmic entry.

I did not have any problem with the Fantasmic entry .Although the Cm at the Brown Derby did not recognise my voucher but the waitor gave the voucher i needed. The Cm at the gate let me in with no problem.
But i agree those snack credits were a mystery
The first time i used it was at Mk and the woman said ,''there s no snacks'
me; never mind i will pay cash -thought maybe it was a mistake

second time- Dak-
Cm- sir you have no snacks
this the first time you used it?
me-blank steer
I do have snacks and this is the first time i used it.

Lol at the Germany pavilon the cm did not know how to ring up my lunch. A manager had to show her. He said 'Oh you have the platinum plan so baiscally you can eat all day? Is liquor included?
ME; No but what a plan it would be
