The father's voice on Carousel of Progress

This is probably an old question, but yesterday we were watching a program narrated by Jean Shepard (who wrote and narrated A Christmas Story). Boy, he sounds just like the day in COP!

Does anyone know who is the voice of the father in COP? Could it be Jean Shepard?
