Ok, so besides Beauty and the Beast, my absolute favorite musical in the world is the Lucy Simon/ Marsha Norman version of The Secret Garden. 8 years ago, my high school chose to do Secret Garden for their spring musical, literally just a few months before I finished middle school. I was crushed. Last year, I said to myself how it'd be just my luck if UT decides to do Secret Garden next year after I've graduated...well, guess what? They did! ARGH!!!

And of all the ironies, I actually entered Secret Garden in a suggestion box last year for this year's season. I call it the bad timing curse. Oh well...I've long outgrown my dream role of Mary Lenox anyway...

My son designed the set for the production of Secret Garden at Wayne state in 2002. He got great reviews.
