That was soooo cool that he got to play checkers with him! :woohoo::woohoo:
LOVE the pics!

Thanks, he had so much fun with it, it really was one of the best character interactions we had.

Oh what awesome photos. I love that new lens of yours!!

Another terrific update. So nice to see it...finally.

No need for mischief makers around here! :thumbsup2

Thanks, I may have another one up my sleeve.:rolleyes1
Whew....it started feeling like a second wave was coming.:lmao:

I think you threw down the gauntlet quite nicely. Don only has 7 weeks to go before he has 2 reports to finish!!! :rotfl::lmao:

Yup!! :stir::duck:

Good work! :thumbsup2

I have to agree with Chris. These pictures are terrific. I love the one of Space Mountain, and I'm amazed you could hold it steady enough to pull off the dark shots.

For the photography geeks around here (I'm too cool for that, of course :rolleyes1), what kind of camera/lens are you using? Or did you answer that earlier in the report? I forget.

You did the race cars twice?! With no line?! That NEVER happens!

And the character interactions are priceless. I'm sure the boys loved it.

Awww...are you sure? Please? :littleangel:

I really only started taking my photography a little more seriously this last year and took a course. I try to shoot in manual mode all the time, but sometimes you forget to change your settings and get nothing. definitely a learning curve.
I have a Canon Rebel XSI and the new lens I bought was not too expensive, it was just over $100. It is a fixed 50mm 1.8 lens. It really helps in low light situations, I'm sure there are much more expensive lenses out there but this seemed to have done the trick. It is also a great portrait lens as well. For the money, I don't think you can buy a better lens.

I have to admit, that I took about 2500 pics on this trip so a few were bound to turn out.:lmao::lmao:

Thanks, I do find a nose print on my screen all the time.:rotfl2:
It does still throw you around, the only real change is in the cue area, they have added an interactive area. The only problem is that was our first ride and we walked right on. So no cue for us.

Interesting...my wife and I just decided to upgrade to a digital SLR and got a Canon Rebel XSi. We've been doing all sorts of research and trying to learn about photography, so I feel encouraged that you've been coming up with great images using the same camera. Right now, we only have the kit lens, though.

2500 pictures?! I thought we were nuts just taking 500-600...

I finally decided I wanted to learn how to actually use my camera and not just let the camera make all the decisions. I took a basic course and it was the best thing I could have done, I learned about basic funtions and have played with my camera and just learned as I go. Those shots in the dark were on full manual mode and manual focus. The lens will just "fish" for focus and never find it in the dark. This website is a great resource and is very similar to this forum, only for photography. I am also signed in over there but don't use it often. Check it out.

The lens I bought will let you set your aperature to a lower number which in turn helps in low light situations, it also blows the background out of focus in other pics, that is how I get some of the close up shots and the one of Jonathan playing checkers with the background out of focus but the foreground in focus. Without getting too technical, this seemed like the best value for my money for what I was trying to achieve.

okay...I think I'm caught up.

you take amazing pix!

the pix of your son playing checkers is priceless..where else, but Disney!

Apparently, this is where a lot of the DIS men hang out.....:thumbsup2

This sounds like an invitation for Monty Python quotes...

Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelled of elderberries! Now go away, or I shall taunt you for a second time. pirate:

I blow my nose on you, so-called Arthur-king, you and your silly English kiniggets. pirate:

Either that or we'll have to re-enact the Holy Grail as entertainment for the evening! :lmao:
