Well, mateys, I be off shortly te journey two hour te Ventura. Shall stay the night and be off te the Lady Washington in the morn. Have book'd meself aboard all day, so shall have 6 hours aboard total. Weath'r predictions be most dire, with heavy rain expect'd all day. Am told the harbor can sometimes close, so sails will be cancell'd in that case. Shall cross me fing'rs fer naught but a bit o' rain - shall make it seem all the more authentic, eh? I can pret'nd te be roundin' Cape Horn!
