The Everything Pooh Sized Thread

I'm a BIG girl (28/30)and I found an across the body purse at Target (in fact a few different designs) that was plenty long enough and only about $20, was perfect not too big, held what I needed (wallet, camera, chapstick, keys etc)

I second the Target bag - I found a messenger style bag in the purse section that is absolutely perfect (I have a very large bust). It cost 16.99

Did read the entire thread. Most in the first few pages were for women it seemed... So sorry for the repeat question if this is one. :rolleyes1

Can anyone provide foot wear for my DH?? He is over 6'2" and 250. May not seem Pooh size for his height, but he is about 50lbs more than what he should be. He has always had foot issues when walking distances even when he was 180lbs, but it is worse now. We are leaving end of November, so it will still be sandal weather for him. (Not me though!:scared1:) A good gym shoe recommendation would be nice as well. :yay:

Thanks! :):flower3:

My husband swears by Crocs & Sketchers. He gets the Sketchers in wide even though he doesn't have wide feet.

Thanks. DH has tried Crocs, but doesn't like the styles. I will let him know about Sketchers.

Any other suggestions? anyone?

Just wanted to say hi & let all the Pooh Sized Folks know that I was in Disney for 9 days-hit every single park twice and had no issues anywhere!!
I'm a big girl-almost 6' tall, chubby (294), and busty!! Everything I rode was fine....Tower or Terror, Rock & Roll Roller Coaster, etc...I was worried about the renovated Space Mountain but it was no problem!!
If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to private message me!!!

You guys are awesome!!

I am pooh sized at 215 or so. I am working on losing more before my trip. I am down 55lbs (I had lap band Surgery).

I have added things to my list I never would have thought of. When I think of the times that I dealt with the thigh chafing i could cry. I didn't realize there were products to deal with it.

One thing I do is put deo underneath my belly panel. I had a c-section and find that things get sweaty and stinky under there.

All these tips are great I can't wait to read more!!!:worship:

Keen makes sandals for men too, I love mine and can keep going all day without a blister!

Glad you had a great trip! Did you happen to ride Mission Space? I'm about the same size as you, but a little shorter 5' 10" and not busty and I was a little worried about the new Space Mountain and Mission Space, I've been before and rode everything, but I've never done these two. I'd love to try Mission Space, but those seats look tight.

I'm not who you asked, and I can't speak to height, but I have 61 inch hips (64 at my widest point) and 48 bust and I fit just fine.

I just got back from WDW last night. I'm 5'10" and about 308lbs, and had no problem on any of the rides. I had a couple tight squeezes in restaurant booths, but that was about it. I also flew Southwest and bought the Customer of Size ticket (aka, two seats) because I was paranoid about getting kicked off the plane, as I was traveling alone and didn't want some jerk to get snippy with me about my size. It worked out really well, although the flights were oversold.

Does anyone know anything about Alliegant Air? How tight are their seats? We are using them for a quick trip in December. I am a 1x and hubby is a 4x. We paid the extra $$ to choose our seats so we would be sure to be beside each other in the row of 2 seats. We thought that way no one could complain about us encroaching on their space.

I've flown allegiant before and have found their seats to be more roomy than others (have also flown jetblue and delta). I am a solid womens 24 and about 290 5'6" and fit very comfortably, no need for a seatbelt extender, sat with a friend who is probably a 18/20 and we were both surprised with how roomy the seats were. I think you will both be comfortable! :)

You guys rock. We are considering flying since I stumbled upon some great rates & was concerned about the seats. Thanks again for the heads up.

What a wonderful thread to stumble upon! I read through the whole thing and picked up a few great tips - so thank you to everyone!

I especially love the shoe suggestions - I'm a diabetic and can't find a single pair of shoes that are comfortable on my feet - Crocs work for a little while and then my feet start to ache - so I'm definitely going to check out a few of the suggestions before my trip. Wonder if my boss will mind me wearing sneakers/sandals with my suits to work while I break them in?? :rotfl:

I've found some great clothes and swim suits at Jessica London and Chadwicks - and I like their sales! Both are online companies, but I've never had an issue returning anything that just didn't fit right once I got it - and I've been ordering from them for years.

Being Pooh sized myself, I would ask are your Crocs new when you wear them to WDW? Or when you need to use them for alot of walking?
To really reap the benefits of Crocs they should NOT be broken in.
Yes you should wear them only a few times at the house to make sure they don't hurt your feet, but they should be new and not broken down.
As Crocs age they flatten out a bit and lose their support. The heavier you are the quicker this happens. (I get new Crocs every 6 mos and plan new ones a week before a WDW trip.

Also a running shoe is best as well. They are made for "high" or hard impact on your feet as you run. If you are heavier this helps in taking the brunt of the impact of just walking. (again, I have bad feet and this helps tremendously).

So what I do is start out in my running shoes with moisture resistant socks, by mid day or evening I switch to my Crocs and finish the day......works like a charm!!

Have a wonderful trip!!!

Hello,
I love this thread. I am pooh sized and will be even more so when we go to WDW in January as I will be 5 months pregnant with baby # 3. I am already were mat clothes so I am sure I will be huge by then.

I am worried about my feet swelling any recommendations to prevent or fix swollen feet?

I have gone to wearing shape ups at work with dress pants, due to a knee injury. No problem from my boss or clients. They come in black, brown and tennis shoe styles...you may need to go to the sketchers website though. I also wear them at WDW and I don't have the sore feet problems I used to...yes I am pooh sized also...size 16-18. Good luck!

Hey guys! First of all I'm totally relieved to see that my flight down on Allegiant should go just fine.

But now, I'm concerned about my feet. I've been having horrible problems for almost a year with bone spurs/flat feet/plantar fascia. DH and I are just going down for a short trip. We're doing DTD one day, then MVMCP the next. Any ideas for dealing with my stupid feet? I've done all the usual stuff, PT, custom orthotics, new shoes, night splints, all kinds of medications. So I'm asking for any help or ideas.

Thanks a zillion in advance.

Karen

OUCH!! I know how much that hurts. Are you having a flare right now? What worked best for me was stretching, icing, taping the bottom of my foot (do you know how to do that?) and wearing my crocs - my crocs scutes seemed to work best when I was in a flare because it almost has a double cushing in the sole. I also took an anti inflammitory and finaly it went away!! I do get some soreness every now and again on trips, but I know what I need to do as soon as I feel it coming on - it can really reek havok on your trip!!! Good luck!!! Enjoy your trip!!

It's pretty much been constance since Dec./Jan.:headache:

I have no idea how to tape it. I have tried ice and I have crocs, but not that kind. Will have to check into them.

Any other ideas?

Thanks, Karen

Awwww - it is just rotten pain!!!!

To tape your foot, get wide medical tape. Then starting at the base of your big toe, put a long piece from there to your heel. Then, from the base of your pinky toe to your heel (both pieces make a V) and if you are super sore or at first, do a 3rd strip down the center of your foot. Now - take 1 more piece start at the top of your foot go around, under and up over your arch back to where you started. I know, its alot of tape, but it helped me so much I think it gave my foot the rest it needed to heal. I also wear Crocs Off Roads. The beach style just dont give me enough support - I find that newer crocs give me more support because I havent broken them in yet. I've heard people swar by night time splints as well..... keeps the foot in a stretched position while they sleep!!
