The Everything and Nothing Thread

Thanks for the welcome everyone~

Being completely technologically inept, I can only participate Wednesday as a viewer, but I love looking at the pictures!

Thursday - confessions huh? Should I pretend to be away tomorrow and just lurk? :rolleyes1 What kinda confessions are we talking 'bout?

Pakey, I've never put an ipod through the wash, but I regularly put my son's DS games through both the wash AND dryer. Nintendo must expect that though because they have all stood up so far. I keep telling him that it is HIS responsibility to go through his pockets before throwing clothes in the hamper. That's because I cannot remember to check first. Right - blame the 9 yr old with ADHD. Well, it IS his responsibility, just not really his capability. We've finally reached the point that clothing usually makes the hamper instead of the floor behind the bed. :sad2: Good thing those games are pretty indestructable!

With my daughter it's either lip gloss (only one major colour accident - again, amazed that they hold up) or notes that she and her friends pass to each other - which then turn to shreds in the washer.

Looks like we had a good picture week. Rodeo, there are several tech-disadvantages Ev/Nots here; hopefully you'll get the hang of it and post some of your own in the near future. I love seeing everyone's pictures.

True Confession Thursday. I'm not sure I should have to post one since I already told you earlier this week that I once made gravy with powdered sugar that I thought was flour but here goes.

I wore braces for 12 years and still wear permanent retainers at 54 years of age. The best phase was having to wear the headgear in junior high. Along with my glasses and corrective shoes, I was one smoking hot pre-teen.

Along the lines of Faith's confession - for those of you old enough to remember "My Three Sons" - when I was in the 8th grade my family called me Ernie, because I looked just like the youngest son from that show. Short dark hair, big dark glasses, flat as a board. Hubba hubba!

Ernie! You bet I remember him! Now Chip, I had a huge crush on him. :love2: There must be something about 8th grade. That had to be my worst year, too. My straight hair decided to get wavy that year. Not pretty and curly, but wavy. Add the white cat-eye glasses, and I was very attractive. My hair went back to being straight about a year later. :confused3

My true confession of the day is that when I was about 8 years old or so, I stole (might as well call it what it was) and ate some bars of my sister's World's Finest Chocolate from the box she had to sell for school. I remember that it was in my Mom & Dad's closet, so there must have been some worry that I might do just that. I hope the statute of limitations has run out!

Bless all of your hearts that had it so tough growing up. I had poofie frizzy hair and freckles and was (still am) white as a ghost. I also had a big chest and believe me that is awful for a girl. Stinky boys used to make fun of them, so I hated them. I was skinny and curvy and hated my figure. What I wouldn't do to have that back!

My confession is that I watch cartoons eve when my kids aren't home. Scooby Doo is my favorite but I also love Sponge Bob. I also like Drake and Josh and ICarly.

Yeah, I just noticed that mine is the only confession that you could do time for!

My sister did the very same thing exept it was her own candy and she told my parents someone stole it on the bus. So my parents had to pay for it and she snuck them under the mattress and ate them at night. She threatened to beat the crap out of me if I ever told. I never did.

Ahh sweet childhood memories. I have 2 brothers, one 11 months younger and one 5 years younger. The oldest and I were always very tight growing up and we did all kinds of things and then threatened the youngest one with death if he told on us.

My youngest brother grew up to be the most amazing man, wonderful husband and father with a successful career. I am always taking credit for it, saying that I helped build his character with all of the childhood torture he endured.

Teri, I won't let you go down the river alone. My dad would keep loose change in a cup in the china cabinet when we were kids. My sister & I would occasionaly sneak 7 cents from the cup to buy Hershey's bars at the corner store. :o

Yes, I said 7 cents for a hershey's bar. And they were big bars. It was a long time ago. I'm hoping the statue of limitations is up. ;)

Happy Friday!

My sister and I met a couple of our cousins for Happy Hour at The Cheesecake Factory last night, and I've got leftover cheesecake in the fridge. Is it sad that leftover cheesecake just might be the highlight of my weekend?

Have a good one, everybody!
Joan

Joan, I was at Cheesecake Factory Thursday, too. DH & I went for dinner. I had leftover cheesecake yesterday. I am getting freaked out by how our lives mirror each other! :scared1: :lmao:

I guess you are all out enjoying the weekend. We had spectacular weather. And the rest of the week looks just as good. :goodvibes

Good morning all. We had a break from the weather and I actually got outside on both days this weekend.

Today it's back to work. :sad2:

Morning everyone. Well I guess now it's afternoon. The weekend wasn't bad but this day is not good. Hope everyone had a great weekend and a better Monday than me. The weekend sure does go by fast.
