I just got back from my first Disney cruise--and I have to say, the crew really makes a difference. Everyone spoke, smiled, knew about every facet of the ship no matter if they were a room host, server or guest services rep.
The perfect example of just how dedicated the crew is to making sure EVERY person is happy: While on Castaway Cay, a fat, little lizard ran across the picnic area. I grabbed my camera but I was not as fast as the lizard- it ran into the bushes. One of the workers setting up the meals for the Oceaneer's Club came over and offered to find the lizard and run him back in my direction so I could get my picture!
I, of course, declined, but I was impressed at the lengths they will go to make sure every guest has a perfect vacation!
If any of you are new to DCL (like me!) you can email me if you have any questions about my experience. I have pictures posted and a review of my trip.
Thanks for all the hints and tips from this board!
