I've been to Disney many times but am about to book LLs for the first time, my kids have done it in the past. I've been researching on these boards and also watched a few Youtube videos, I still have the following questions. I understand the basics and plan to purchase some single and some multi.
- When I start to make my choices on the correct day, as I am choosing them for the 3 parks we are visiting during our 4 day trip, will the system "hold" those reservations as I am making them for all 3 parks? Or, will I get to the end and will it tell me to choose something else? You know how when you buy concert tickets from Ticketmaster, it tells you that you have a certain number of minutes to complete the sale. Would it benefit me to choose the one or two I really care about and make that one transaction, then go back and make another transaction?
- How long do I have? One of the videos said 5 minutes, that doesn't seem like much to get 3 parks chosen!
- I've been reading on this site about folks who choose a non in-demand ride first to "burn" it? I don't understand that, what is the purpose. Is it to unlock another tier 1? The multi pass gives you 1 tier 1 and 2 tier 2, right? Or are there some passes that are just tier 2. When you are done with the first attraction, is anything available on multi pass up for grabs? I do understand that it is not like Genie plus in that you have to use the ride and not just wait 2 hours to get another.
- Do the prices change a lot and what is the best way to get a good prediction of what they are? If I am not a registered guest the day before, how can I see them? I don't want to have to decide while I am beating the clock to get this finished. The samples I saw for singles had big ranges, from maybe $15 up to $25 for ROR, and once you multiply that for a group the differences in prices might affect my decisions.
This really does take research and learning to master, I think if you went into a park without any research you'd just be lost. Thanks!
