The Empty Nesters Magical Mystery Tour *1/28* Link to New Girl's TR p141

My GOD what a beautiful sight around the Epcot resorts. It does not get more stunning than that.

It truly was a spectacular weather day. Every day was - almost! But you'll have to wait for that! :scratchin

I have never been to either Disney Water Park, so it's always a treat for me to see them. Pretty cool.

You must try one! It was a great time to go because it was so NOT crowded, So much fun! Just what I needed.

Your experience at Teamboat Springs sounds like a perfect Disney experience. It's all about meeting new people. :thumbsup2

Definitely, although I will admit that I was getting just a tad nervous that they might not let us ride with them and then we would have looked like real dweebs!

Haha, nice Hanson shout out.

MMMBop...bidi dapa doo wop
Doo bi dapa doo bop
Bidi dapa doo, yeah, yeah

Song officially stuck in my head! :faint:

Have yet another wonderful time on your journey back to the WORLD and I sure do hope you enjoy that awesome Star Wars meal. :goodvibes

OMG - We had SO. MUCH. FUN!!!!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day Mary Ellen. Hope you have a wonderful day, smooth travels and a safe flight!

Thanks! It was a great trip. But you already knew that! :rotfl::rotfl:;)

Have a fun and safe trip!

Thanks Jen. We had an awesome time!

darn I had water park tickets this past trip, but Claire did not. I should've suggested to Skip to go there for a few hours our last day as it would've been cheaper to pay out of pocket for the 2 of them than pay for 3 to go to Universal. I wasn't thinking!!!

You really should try one of the WP's on one of your trips. They are a lot of fun and very relaxing. I'm glad we decided to go. It was a great morning.

Happy Mother's Day and have a fantastic trip!

Jill in CO

Thanks Jill. We had a great time! So much fun! :thumbsup2

Great update MEK!! :thumbsup2 I'm with you...we paid for these PAP so I really should go to at least one of the water parks! We have a day during our Jun14 trip where nothing is planned so I think I'll slip over there and take a picture or two.

You should definitely go - just go hang out in the shade on one of the loungers. You'll love it! And you could even try a ride? Hey, why not?

I hope you and Cynthia have a great time in your upcoming trip. Leave a GGS or rita in the ditch for me! :lmao:

We had an awesome time and I am happy to say that we left plenty of alcohol for your upcoming trip! :thumbsup2

I don't know what we ate, don't know what we drank? :rotfl2: Sounds like my report.

:rotfl2: Yeah - I admit I was a little weak on the details. But the main thing is I enjoyed each and everything I ate and drank. Need I say more. :rotfl:

Love the water parks. :thumbsup2 I also find them so relaxing. I'll chalk up the hotdog to munchies post Grey Goose deliciousness.

:thumbsup2 Yeah - probably! That GGS did go down a little too smooth! :rotfl2:

I know you're on your way to WDW. Have a blast! :woohoo:

Thanks! We had a BLAST! So much fun! You missed a great trip! We are planning for F&G in 2016 so pencil that in girlfriend!!!!!!

Yikes! I missed your BD on here. Missed your sendoff. Just under the wire to wish you a Happy Mothers Day!!!

Sorry about that!

No worries! You got here in plenty of time! :thumbsup2 Thanks for all the well wishes. Much appreciated!

Have a spectacular trip! Can't wait to hear all about it.

:goodvibes

It was such a great trip! SO. MUCH. FUN.

Me too! Great pictures.

Thanks!

What a nice time at Blizzard Beach. We prefer the theming and the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon, but the family ride, Teamboat Springs, is WAY better than the one at TL.

Way better! I totally agree. I could have ridden that all day if I hadn't had to hijack a ride everytime!

I have an aversion to wedgies, so I haven't tried summit plummet /\ \/ either.

:rotfl2: The one next to it also gives a pretty good wedgie. I tried that one - Once! Need I say more? :rotfl:

OK, you sold me on the GGS Slushie.

So good! ;)

I enjoyed your pictures from around the WS. The one with the balloons at AA is really cute!

Thank you! It was just such a fabulous day for taking pictures!

So nice to do a relaxing day in the middle. I love the lazy river! It's nice to know as I was reading this tonight that you have already arrived at WDW!

:welcome: Poly! It was great to have a relaxing morning. Loved it! and my last trip was totally awesome! I see you have a trip right around the corner, too! Nice! :thumbsup2

I missed the waterpark update! Glad I went back, sounds like you had a fabulous time. Love the low crowds and great weather :)

That's a lot of steps!

Okay, I just need some clarification on this Summit Plummet thing. Do you slide down that steep ski jump thing and go flying off into a pool somewhere? Oh.my.gosh. that looks TERRIFYING! Please tell me that's not what it is!!! :scared1:

The "ski jump thing" is just part of the theme. It only looks like it is part of the slide, which passes through that area and continues straight down.

Hi Sheree, just let me fill you in on Summit Plummet. It's a LONG, STEEP slide, no flying off anywhere involved. Once you get to the top they make you cross your ankles and your arms in front of your chest, then off you go ....... and then, before you really know it, you are at the bottom.
Been there, done that - and we BOTH survived. :thumbsup2

Thank you both for clearing that up for me. I couldn't see how they would have you sailing off like a real ski jump, but it wasn't clear where you went by the pictures. I still wouldn't do it, but I'm glad to know people have survived!! :)

What a great day at Blizzard Beach! I have yet to make it to one of the water parks, and I really want to go. Perhaps this fall...:thumbsup2

Looks like you and Cynthia had a wonderful trip, can't wait to hear all about it!

Hope you have a fabulous trip!!! :goodvibes

thank you! I had a wonderful time! It was SO fun!

Just popping in to say that I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day and enjoy your trip!

Thanks! The trip was great! So much fun! Too bad its taken me so long to get my act back together after getting home.

What a fun update! We are headed to Blizzard Beach and Winter Summerland for the first time during our upcoming trip so it was nice to see pictures of what's to come for us.

Nice! You are going to love it! It's a great place!

Hope that you are having a great time with Cynthia!

We had so much fun! And now you and your family are off having a wonderful time! :cool1:

Gorgeous early-morning pictures here.:thumbsup2

Thanks. It was a beautiful morning and that's why I always run with my phone!

Gotta love beating the crowds!

:thumbsup2 Definitely! And it never really got crowded there the entire morning. Just perfect!

You made the guy with the heart problems carry the tube up all those steps? :sad2::rotfl2:

:rotfl2: Hey - he's all fixed now! No excuses! :thumbsup2

There were a few moments there when I definitely thought we were going to have to get out of line. :rolleyes1 It worked out perfect.

Because sometimes you just want a hot dog.

Sort of like how you feel about hamburgers, right?

:rotfl2:

Give me some warning before you do that!

Sorry!

Hope you all have a great time!

We had a wonderful time. It was really so much fun!!!!!

I fell really behind with baseball and getting ready for my trip.

Talk about behind. It's taking me two weeks to get to my replies. :faint:

Blizzard Beach looks like fun. The only water park I have done is Typhoon Lagoon and we had fun but I paid for it. Even with a ton of sunscreen I looked like a lobster.

Oh NO!!!!! That's terrible. I guess I never spend enough time there to get really fried. I would never make it past 3 hours. I'm not good at just chilling on a lounger.

I want to take a just go with no plans and relax trip one day but I have a hard time relaxing even on vacation.

I know what you mean, but it IS getting easier for me. And once I build in some relaxation time getting back to the parks is much more enjoyable.

The Hanson CD brought back memories. Our first trip that we drove my DD's were about 12 and 10. The older one especially LOVED Hanson. She will not admit to that today however. Hanson made the trip memorable as we listened to MmmBop all the way down to Disney from Philadelphia. 17+ hours of MmmBop and I have no idea what else. And my 14 year old son threatening to kill his sisters if they played that song one more time. The memories. :lmao:

17 hours??????? YIKES. :faint: I don't think I would make it. You're a much better mom than I am.

Hope you had or are having a wonderful trip!

Two weeks isn't that bad. You did have computer issues after all.

The 17 hour trip is nothing any more. We have done it 3 years in a row now and will be driving in November for the cruise. Thankfully the last trip with kids I had a DVD player in the car. My DH doesn't like to fly and the cost of airfare is so high now that I give in.

The trip was great, just what I needed. I did start a new TR - Hey Mickey You're So Fine But Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Hope you drop by.

Sorry to miss your send off. I hope you and Cynthia have an amazing trip!!!

We had an awesome trip! It was so much fun! I wish I could go back and do it all over again!

our run looks like it was a wonderful one! I love that you were up and running and taking pictures along the way. What a beautiful area to run in!

It really is one of my favorite areas to run in, although I have to say that OKW was pretty nice. Well, actually the path between OKW and SSR. Cynthia totally nailed our location and I got to run mostly over at SSR. That was great!

I loved all your pictures of BB. It is unlikely (although not outside the realm of possibility) that I will ever go or spend much time there so it is nice to see pictures.

It's really a nice water park and it was great that it wasn't crowded and I was able to hide my camera without any problems when I wasn't using it. I'm glad we decided to spend the morning there.

The grey goose slushie... is it like the one in WS? I actually may have decided that I prefer that one to the grand marnier slushie.

I think the ingredients might be slightly different, but both have grey goose and this was really tasty. Plus I think it was a nice sized drink for the price. ;)

I also loved all the photos of the BW. I must say though... kinda a nasty trick. I was slowly scrolling through... enjoying each and every BW picture.. oooing and ahhhing.... then...

PAUL

:lmao:

Man that face is the stuff of nightmares.

:rotfl2: Sorry! You know I have to throw that bad boy in there just for effect. Keeps everyone alert.

Glad you like the BW pics!

I KNEW you would appreciate that!

Great updates, Mary Ellen! Looks like a fun filled day. Running in Disney is something I will probably never do, but I have to imagine it's more fun and interesting than running at home when you get to pass all of the gorgeous resorts and even get peeks at the parks and attractions.

It really is a lot more interesting! I mean running at home is good cause you know your route and you just kind of zone out. At Disney you are always thinking about the next thing - what are you doing next, where are you going next, so sometimes that distracts you from the run. But I love it!

Second TR update I've read today about Blizzard Beach! Maybe it's just me, but it seems like that happens a lot. Suddenly a lot of TR's will have updates about the same things...a restaurant, a particular ride, a party, etc. Glad you & Denny had a good time, although I think Brenda mentioned that one slide having 1001 steps instead of 115 to get to the top. :lmao:

1001 steps? :lmao: Surely Brenda is exaggerating! Although, at times, it felt look 1000 steps! :faint:

Beautiful Epcot pics! Sometimes it's just nice to walk around and enjoy not being packed into World Showcase. :thumbsup2

It really is. It was a great afternoon for that! :thumbsup2

Fun day to go to Blizzard Beach! We think about the water parks, but usually don't have enough days (or $) considering my kids don't do a lot of big slides etc.

It's still fun even without the big slides. There are a lot of other things to do there, but I know what you mean about not having the time. Sometimes you just want to spend all your time in the regular parks!

Of course - more Epcot is always a good thing!!

Always!!!!!! :yay:

I hope you and Cynthia (and Pat and whomever else you see) are having a great time at WDW now!!

We had such a great time! It was a wonderful trip! Loved it. And we did see Pat, but it was totally a surprise visit. I had no idea she was going to be there.

I'm trying to get caught up. The meal at Tokyo Dining looked really good! I have recently gotten hooked on sushi so that may be something I need to try the next time we are down.

It was a yummy meal, but if you want good sushi at WDW go to Splitsville in DTD. We ate there on our last trip and the sushi was fantastic. It was seriously a surprise. I highly recommend it and the price was reasonable.

Also, great pictures of Epcot as always! It looks like the weather was beautiful.

Thanks and, yes, the weather was absolutely fantastic. I just love the October weather at WDW!

So fun! Loving your FB pics. :woohoo: Glad you're having a great time. The photo with Cinderella is the best.

We had a great time! It was so much fun and breakfast at the castle was something I have always wanted to do! :thumbsup2

So glad you are having a good time! I too love the fb pics... so fun!!!:goodvibes

We had a blast! I was having trouble charging my phone at first so I didn't FB as much as I wanted. Apparently my adapter was not working well with my new charger for my new phone. So it made it really hard to charge up my phone completely until I discovered the problem.

A Cab?!:cool1: Can't wait to hear about that! And am loving seeing your FB photos. Thanks for sharing them:)

:rotfl: We have a couple cab stories. The guy from DTD was a pain. When he heard we were going to OKW he said, "You're killing me. I've got to make a living you know". Oh brother!

So does the GGS taste stronger over at BB? I may just have to buy a water park ticket only to purchase a $10 drink! :rotfl:

I think it was a nice drink and somewhat different than the GCS in France. It was a little sweeter but there was more of it and it definitely had some alcohol in it!
:goodvibes

Oooh love those French guys! :hyper:

Me too! They are just too cute!

Maryellen what great5 pix of your Relaxing Day !!I was so happy to meet you and Cynthia finally !! And the dates for Williamsburg are July 17th thru 21st !!!;)

It was so fun meeting you as well. And also meeting Carol! You shopaholics, you! :rotfl2:

I really wish I could go to W-burg with you. It would be fun to head down there for the weekend. But you did inspire me and with the three days of vacation I did take this summer Denny and I are going to head down there. We may even buy a Busch Gardens AP. It could happen!

Absolutely! No point having it if you're not going to take full advantage of it!

I figure we got our money's worth by using it twice. Actually we got the PAP part for free, but why the heck not use it. Just like you said.

Neither. It is clearly the Duck pool. :rotfl2:

That it is! :rotfl:

I don't know, but you're sure doing a good job of getting pictures of it from every imaginable angle! :lmao:

:thumbsup2 Hey, that's what its there for - to be photographed!

So the guy you have to take to the ER on a previous vacation after carrying luggage up a flight or 2 of stairs gets to do the heavy lifting? Clearly, he's doing much better now. :lmao:

MUCH better! Full recovery and he made it past the one year mark so he got to come off his blood thinner.

It looks like you had some fun at the water park. We rarely go to them. Just not a priority, but I wish we had more time to check them out and spend a day at one. I don't think I've ever seen anyone take as many pictures of a water park though as you did! :rotfl2:

:rotfl: And you are surprised because? .....

Actually, with the lack of crowds and the great weather it seemed silly not to take a bunch of pictures. I knew we wouldn't go real heavy on the rides because we are old and all that. :rolleyes1

Sounds like a lot of fun. I always enjoy planning trips, and it is definitely a necessary evil to ensure that you'll get to do all you want to do, especially when you only go once every year or 2. But days like this one... those are the dream... :thumbsup2

I'm really blessed to be able to go to Disney as often as I do and I love just taking it easy and going with the flow. We definitely did a lot of that on our girl's trip as well. :thumbsup2

She just loves those guys!

I hope you're both having a great time!

We had a fantastic time. It was a blast!

So you have to share where your location was that made it easy to access the trail! I would like to think I will get runs in while there in october. :goodvibes

LOL! The guy in the Buzz outfit.

OMG! Was that a hoot or what? :rotfl2:

Beautiful pics around Boardwalk.

Thanks!

I think the pool on your run was the Dolphin.

I'm glad someone knows because I have NO idea!

Never been to BB. Hopefully one day I will get there.

It's a beautiful water park. Even if you aren't into the rides just being there is a nice experience and off season proved to be an excellent time to visit.

Nice pics at BWI.
Nice to stroll around Epcot.

Thanks and It's so great to be able to walk right from BWI into Epcot. I just LOVE that!

I am caught up again.

Yay! I wish I could get caught up on everyone's TRs. I am still so far behind.

Can’t wait to hear about the new trip. Enjoying the updates on FB between the two of you

We had a blast. Not sure when we will write the TR, but it was a great trip!

Updates from Walt Disney World are extra special! Glad you are having so much fun. :earsgirl:

We had such a blast. It was really a great trip. Too bad my updates have been so sparse since we got back. :faint:

Hi Mary Ellen! Glad you girls are having such a good time! :cool1:

Tammie - we had an absolute blast. Now if I could just get back to writing this TR. I just can't get my act together at all!

I finally made my way over to your TR, sorry it took me so long. I'm all caught up! I hope you are having a great time at Disney right now!

:welcome: Melissa! Thanks so much for joining in. Glad to have you here and all caught up. Of course, things have slowed to a snails pace since I got home a few weeks ago.

Your pictures in this TR are all great. I cannot wait to experience Disney in the fall sometime! Love the pictures of BB as well. We only took a disposable waterproof camera on our BB day so I have very few pictures. That is so cool that you get water park admission with the PAP! I wish that was the case with the regular AP too. I don't think we will get back to a waterpark until Gavin is old enough to do more than just the kiddie area, we can do that at the hotels for free!

Fall is an incredible time to visit. You would love it. The weather is so freaking awesome!

The Pap ended up being a good deal for us because the price was about the same as the DVC AP. I'm very glad we took advantage of the water parks since we never seem to visit them when we go without our kids.

I remember counting those 115 steps :rotfl2: We took the chair lift our first time up the mountain but it took about 10 minutes to get on the lift. After that it was just quicker to walk up those steps. We did that 4 times, what a workout! We stayed until right before park closing. No wonder we needed a nap after that, haha.

Those steps! :faint: They were SO much easier 10 years ago. I'm not kidding. I remember thinking they were bad then. Not! :rotfl:

The water parks are definitely nap inducing. That's why I only stay for a few hours. I can't handle it.

Nope it wouldn't be confusing! Please do! Have a safe trip home:)

:rotfl: I can hardly write this TR these days, let alone another one. Probably not going to happen, but you never know. :rolleyes2

My trip home was uneventful - thanks!

Missed you by a day. Twelve hours from now I will be landing in Orlando. Hope you had a great trip.

Wow - we really did just miss, didn't we?

I had a wonderful trip and it sounds like your was pretty nice too. If you have started a TR please let me know because I'm a little disorganized with my subbed threads these days.

Hi Mary Ellen can't wait to hear about your trip!! I started the TR on ours !!!

Rosie - the rest of our trip was great. It was so much fun! Loved it. I think I read one of your updates. I really MUST get caught up soon!

Welcome home, Mary Ellen!
I am another one who is all for that second TR - not confusing at all (says the one who juggles several :faint:)

Thanks Karin!

I know you usually have three going at once. That's crazy. I don't know how you do it, but it is fun to read about all your awesome adventures simultaneously. I have to get caught up on the TR first and then I'll consider adding a second.

I have 3 going :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao: That's right - you DO! :rotfl2:

DON'T DO IT! I will never do more than one TR again. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: There - finally a voice of reason. I would like to get the girl's TR going, but I really have to get moving on this one and get caught up on all the others.

I'm sorry I got behind on yours. Work has been crazy busy, family drama, errands to get things needed for the trip in 10 days, etc., have basically kept me off the DIS.

I completely understand. I have spent very little DIS time since I've been back. Once you get a little bit behind its really hard to get caught up.

I loved your Day 5. I like the "no plans" idea and glad to see your pictures of Blizzard Beach since the girls ahve decided to go there instead of Typhoon Lagoon (they are killing me with their changes).

:rotfl2: Girls will be girls. I don't think you've been there yet unless you went today. I haven't been on FB much today so I'll have to check in on your adventures. :thumbsup2

I love all of your scenery shots, as always. You get things I never seem to notice or take a picture of.

Thanks Kathy. I'm glad you like my pics!

I'm sorry...I LOVE the Boardwalk (I'm sorry I didn't splurge for a one-bedroom in September, but I'll settle for my studio), but THAT chair just creeps me out. We have to set out to find the quiet pool in September as we've never used the pools at the Boardwalk (we were there in December and it wasn't warm enough and not enough time).

Having a one bedroom would be complete heaven. How great would that be??? You will love all the quiet pools. They are wonderful. The Boardwalk is such an awesome resort.

Yup - the chair IS creepy!

All caught up. :faint:

:cool1: Yay! :cool1:

Blizzard beach is wonderful but those stairs...... :faint:

I know and the older you get the worse those stairs get. :rotfl:

I love no days plans- I really need to try that.. :lmao:

I am going to have a no plan day in October. I really like it. It's rejuvenating!

Yup I packed the running clothes and well ...they stayed in the suitcase. :rotfl:

:rotfl2: That has been know to happen!

Way too steamy and too short of a trip not to take advantage of rope drop.

I agree! It IS hard to go for a run and then get to rope drop, unless, of course, you don't go out late at night.

I will try again in Aug. Yeah that will be better weather. :rotfl2:

But at least I will have the fitness center close at VWL.

You're staying at VWL? Make sure you run over to FW. You'll really love that. There is a lot of shade and the paths are nice. But then, of course, there is always the fitness center. ::yes::

I hope you are having a smooth re-entry back into real life. I always did well to keep up with one report, much less two, so you will be a way better/braver person than I if you go that route. We always ended one and started another and that kept us plenty busy. I will enjoy reading them all and seeing pictures, no matter how you decide to do them. :thumbsup2

That's what I usually do - finish one and just start the next one. I have been very blessed and lucky to have quite a few trips this past calendar year so it has been hard to not fall behind. I guess that's actually a good problem to have. ::yes::

There sure were a lot of DIS people in WDW last week! Many are there now. It will be interesting to see which one lucks up on a soft opening of Mine Train. :)

I think the first day I heard of soft openings was on May 25th or 26th. They had cast member previews when we were there. So close, yet so far away. *sigh* At least I'll get to ride it in October. Looking forward to that!

Welcome home, Mary Ellen! I can't wait to hear about the trip! From the Facebook updates it looked like a blast!

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Thanks Wendy! It was really an awesome trip! We had a great time! Can't wait until the next trip!

Welcome Back! Hope you had an uneventful flight home.

Thanks and I did. It really was an uneventful flight! Left on time, landed on time, although I think I was just about the last person to get my suitcase. :faint:

Can't wait to hear all about your trip! Sounds like you had a lot of fun and interesting DISmeets, and a great time with Cynthia. :goodvibes

Yes - we had some VERY interesting DIS meets! uhem!

I vote for the second TR. :thumbsup2 Not confusing at all, at least for those of us who only have to read along........... :rotfl2:

Gee. thanks. Honestly - sometimes I have trouble reading more than one from the same person. I'm always thinking - Ok WHICH trip IS this? :rolleyes2

Welcome back!!! :)

Thanks again for meeting us, that was such fun :) and thanks again for my goody bag, that was so sweet :goodvibes

Thanks Pam! We had such a great time meeting you. Cynthia kept saying "what do you want to do tomorrow (sat)"? and I kept saying "I really don't care. the only thing I REALLY want to do is meet Pam!!!!!" It worked out perfectly!

Phew, all caught up, I've been so behind. I love the pics and was glad to see some from Tokyo Dining as I feel that's one you just don't hear about very often.

Now worries about being behind, I am the one was is SO far behind now. Home two weeks and no update. That's about to change. Tokyo dining was a nice meal. I'm really glad we decided to do it.

Looking forward to the next update!

Should be one tonight!!!!

I am so far behind you have gone on a trip and back since I've been here! I hope it was a good one! I'll try to catch up!

No worries about getting behind. I, myself, am totally behind on my own TR and everyone else's.

And it was a great trip! Had a blast!

Hope you computer is all better soon !!

I got it back on Wednesday. Today I uploaded all my pictures that I hadn't backed up yet - plus the May pics. I now have a ton of editing in front of me. Yay! NOT! :upsidedow

NO computer? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Hope it gets well pretty soon as I am waiting for your TR. :rotfl2:

Computer is back and operational! Yay! And I have all my May pics uploaded but nothing edited. So we'll see! :duck:

I missed the waterpark update! Glad I went back, sounds like you had a fabulous time. Love the low crowds and great weather :)

We loved the water park. It was a perfect day for it, made better by the fact that there was hardly anyone there. We may do a WP again this October. It really was fun!

That's a lot of steps!

Yup! Way too many steps!!!!! :faint:

Okay, I just need some clarification on this Summit Plummet thing. Do you slide down that steep ski jump thing and go flying off into a pool somewhere? Oh.my.gosh. that looks TERRIFYING! Please tell me that's not what it is!!! :scared1:

I see that your question was already answered. My older son went on it and he says you slide literally straight down in about 3 seconds flat. The rest of the family is not nearly as brave (including Nick who was probably only 11 or 12 the last time we were there), so we can't comment other than to say "No thank YOU!".

The "ski jump thing" is just part of the theme. It only looks like it is part of the slide, which passes through that area and continues straight down.

:thumbsup2

Hi Sheree, just let me fill you in on Summit Plummet. It's a LONG, STEEP slide, no flying off anywhere involved. Once you get to the top they make you cross your ankles and your arms in front of your chest, then off you go ....... and then, before you really know it, you are at the bottom.
Been there, done that - and we BOTH survived. :thumbsup2

All I can say is - You guys are WAY braver than me!!!! I applaud you! ::yes::

Thank you both for clearing that up for me. I couldn't see how they would have you sailing off like a real ski jump, but it wasn't clear where you went by the pictures. I still wouldn't do it, but I'm glad to know people have survived!! :)

I don't think anyone has died yet and that includes dying from sheer fright. :rotfl2:

What a great day at Blizzard Beach! I have yet to make it to one of the water parks, and I really want to go. Perhaps this fall...:thumbsup2

The water parks are really cool and fall is a great time to go. The crowds were really minimal in October, but the weather was perfect. I would definitely go again. I'm so glad we got the chance!

Looks like you and Cynthia had a wonderful trip, can't wait to hear all about it!

We had an awesome time! It was so much fun! Great trip!

Two weeks isn't that bad. You did have computer issues after all.

True! That really did set me back and has put a big dent in my motivation, but I think I'm ready for a new update tonight! :cool1:

The 17 hour trip is nothing any more. We have done it 3 years in a row now and will be driving in November for the cruise. Thankfully the last trip with kids I had a DVD player in the car. My DH doesn't like to fly and the cost of airfare is so high now that I give in.

I guess after you drive a few times you become an "old pro" at it, so to speak. Someday we will drive. I'm just not sure when. You are right - the cost of airfare is ridiculous. We have flown out of Baltimore on the last 3 trips because its a lot cheaper, but its not cheap by any stretch of the imagination.

The trip was great, just what I needed. I did start a new TR - Hey Mickey You're So Fine But Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Hope you drop by.

Love the title. Thanks for the heads up/ I'll make sure I sub!

So you have to share where your location was that made it easy to access the trail! I would like to think I will get runs in while there in october. :goodvibes

Go into the resort and follow the bus loop. Right before the Southpoint stop make a left. At the end of that caul-de-sac is the entrance to the path. You will see it on your right. I stayed there for a full 5 nights a few years ago and never found it. I ran everywhere else but on that street. It's an awesome location. I loved it. It was like staying at SSR because I ran over there instead of OKW and I even used the fitness center over there.

MK After Dark!

Before I start with my update I thought maybe I should post an updated Table of Contents for this TR in case you have some catching up to do

There - that's better.

Now on to my update.

Remember Me?

Former DISer.

Left 3 weeks ago on a girl's trip and have barely been on the boards since.

I have a confession to make - I'm getting a little weary from DISing and when my computer crashed and I had to have my hard drive replaced last week I almost considered giving up the DIS altogether. But I didn't and now I'm here with an update.

Cynthia & I had an awesome trip. We had a ton of DIS meets (former DISers and active DISers) and really got to explore some new sides of Disney. Sadly, the mine train was not running while we were there. But there were so many highlights that it was merely a bump. I'll ride it in October.

MK After Dark!

When I left off last (3 weeks ago) we were here

It was our 5th park day, Monday evening, and tomorrow we were getting ready to leave the world for a little side trip.

But for now let’s have some Disney fun!

A favorite fountain

Bye Epcot. Our plans were to head over to MK

But before we could do that we HAD to visit this favorite attraction !

You know the one - the one where you go back in time, way back…and then you get to plan your future.

Let’s see what we got

I swear this guy looks stoned

See

And with that it was time to catch the monorail.

But not without a PP pic, complete with squinting!

Well, hello Space Mountain

and Hello MK Train Station

Hello MNSSHP, we’ll see you THIS October!

It was a beautiful evening with the sun fading fast.

Maybe we went in here and got more Sorcerer’s cards

Hey castle - looking good!

I think we were supposed to kiss here. Wait for it. Wait for it.

We walked over to Tommorrowland and look who we ran in to.

Somebody was a little shy

and somebody else was a little sleepy

There we go - I got a picture!

The little ones were getting ready to head out while the big kids were off enjoying some adult ride action. They would all be heading home tomorrow, so we said our goodbyes.

Now I could have sworn that Denny and I would have done something like ride the Peoplemover, but since I have no pictures of that we must not have. I think we may have checked out the wait at Space Mountain and then moved on. My next pictures are here.

I love this time of night.

I tried for a hasty shot of the Tangled BR’s

The Liberty Belle may have been doing her last ride for the night

Lights on at Big Thunder

My next pictures are here, so I suspect with hit the HM

I love when she opens her eyes!

I took my autofocus off and tried for these statues at the beginning of the ride

They never turn out!

But my girl never fails to please

With the autofocus off I was able to get a few pictures from the dining room

Ok, well this one is not all that great, but whatever

Then I went head on with the crazy bride

Bye friends. See you next time!

Then it was time for a little Splash. Thank goodness for sweatshirts!
