The Empty Nesters Magical Mystery Tour *1/28* Link to New Girl's TR p141

Yes the FP+ system does have some good points but right now those are few.

The PROs
Being able to book a specific time you pick ( in most cases) without relying on the luck on the FP.
Grace 5 min before and 15 after.
It is cool to use.. :)

Now for the cons

only 1 park

Hour time blocks ( no overlapping) so you have "dead" time where they want you to shop.
Tiers
Even though you can change it with the app it is a pain and slow.

In any event - I am trying to be patient as they work all this out.

It just needs to be more flexible to meet the variety of touring styles people have.

You can never have too many castle pictures and with all the changes going on now - it will be nice to look back on them and then go and take new ones.

How nice to meet up with Brielle and C. :goodvibes
You picked well for your FP+ :thumbsup2

Waiting to see what booths you visit. :drinking1

When we got back to the Boardwalk, we walked the 2.5 miles from the parking lot. Did you notice that the distance is getting farther!
Some people don't realize that distances increase by the day as you walk more and more during a Disney stay. It is a proven fact. :rolleyes1

I just love the quiet pool on the inn side of the Boardwalk. It’s so peaceful over there. There are never a lot of people. It’s quiet. There is plenty of sun, but enough shade to get a break from it. There were only a couple of teens there that afternoon.
... and most importantly, no clown. :thumbsup2

And here is were FP+ has a role. We didn’t pull any FP’s for the morning in MK because we wanted to hang with our family and just go with the flow. That allowed us to prebook at Soarin and TT for the afternoon. Before FP+ we never would have been able to do that. So Score. I appreciated the convenience.
This is the one thing that I think looks appealing about this FP+ process. Except for the fact that you can no longer get both Soarin' and TT. That is a pretty big strike against FP+ for me.

I have to say, for someone who refuses to do Single Rider and acts like this ride is just “okay”, Denny looks like he is thoroughly enjoying himself!
He's a guy. He enjoys going fast. There's really nothing to even discuss here. The ride may just be "okay" but going fast is always fun.

When we got off TT I had a casual DIS meet that I was hoping would work out. C (2excited2sleep) and Brielle (Tracy aka Manntra’s) niece had been in WDW for the past week and they were due to leave the next day. Tracy is a DISer that passed away in December 2012. Brielle traveled with Tracy on many of her trips. It was so cool that C brought Brielle.

We didn’t have a lot of time to spend together, but it was great to see them. And guess what? They completed their entire F&W passport. Way to go C and Brielle. I hope someday I can follow in your foot steps.
I'm glad that you were able to sneak in a quick DISmeet, and glad that Brielle was able to come along on the trip.

Congrats to both of them for getting the entire passport. :thumbsup2

On the FP+ deal - there's lots of discussion about them adding more to be allowed and/or tweaking the tier system. I hope they get it worked out and make it better by Christmas - when I get to go back!!!

Great day so far! We never went to the quite pool at the Boardwalk when we were there but it sounds nice and relaxing.......and you don't have a weird, creepy clown looking at you!

great that you and Denny got to spend some time relaxing at the pool!

I love pool time, that's for sure. It's one of my favorite things to do at WDW. Probably because I don't have ready access to a pool at home.

I think that FP+ is going to work well for people who want FP for the afternoon and might not want to be in the park in the a.m. Before, the only way was to go get them early and then kill time until it was FP time. This could be good for those who are not early risers…

It's definitely good for people who are not early risers. It worked well for us a couple weeks ago when we were driving back from Tampa and we knew we couldn't get to the park by 9am. We started our FP's at 1000 and we didn't miss a thing. :thumbsup2

Love Soarin! My favorite ride at WDW!
Still haven't done the "new" version of TT yet. Just from reading about it, I think I'd like the old one better.

I really like the new one. I think the old one was getting a little tired - well - at least the pre show was. I like the new version better but I think its about 50-50.

How nice that you got to meet up with C and Brielle! Looks like everyone was having a good time! :):goodvibes

I was so happy to see them. If my memory serves me right they had their final dinner reservation that night. That's why we couldn't hang out longer, but at least we got to see them. It was great!

I love the photopass pics. And we go in September and celebrate our anniversary which is in May so you sure can with a few days difference.

:rotfl: That's funny! We did celebrate once in September for our October anniversary. This October we will actually BE there on our anniversary. That's going to be fun! Still haven't decided what we are going to do for dinner that night!

Parking at the GF is worse than the Boardwalk? Wow...that's really bad.

Yup - the self parking lot has to be a 1/2 mile away. It is really worse than the Boardwalk. It's in the next county! :rotfl:

Beautiful pictures of the GF as you went by...it is a stunning resort.

It really is. I can't wait to stay there. It's going to be so cool.

The pool looks great. We never saw the quiet pool. How do you get there from the Villas (we'll be there again in September and I am NOT going to that clown pool).

You work through the lobby and head towards the inn side of the building. Go out those stairs and keep walking straight. You will see the cottages on your left and will come to the quiet pool on your right. I just love it back there. It's such a nice little haven of solitude.

You should have stolen Ariana's picture of her sandwich :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Blurry picture or not, I'm glad you got a chance to see C and Brielle.

I am too! It was great to see both them and they really had a wonderful trip. It's so cool that they got to spend that time together.

What a great day! Seems like you got a lot done without a lot of rushing to do so. You even had pool time!!! Love the all of the pics!!!

It was a really nice day with a lot of variety. We got family time and friend time plus a little pool time.

Glad you like the pics! :thumbsup2

PHEW! It was a false alarm. For now.

Most of the kids in his class are juniors or seniors, but Nate and the other sophomores had important MCAS (State testing) the morning after he was supposed to bring home the baby. He was able to convince the teacher that it wasn't a good idea to have the baby overnight since the schools encourage a good night's sleep before the testing.

:rotfl: I like the way that kid thinks! :rotfl: But you know what they say - "You can run, but you can't hide". :rolleyes1

We are now scheduled for next Monday and Thursday.

Get the ear plugs ready! Better you than me!

The whole real hair thing IS a little gross! Cool, but gross!

I would call your afternoon an unqualified success! Some enjoyable pool time followed by food and headliners at EPCOT, plus a nice DISmeet! :cool1:

It was a great all around day. I'm glad we got to see as many people as we did and sneak a DIS meet in there. It was a perfect day.

Love the pictures of your room view!

Thanks. It was a really cool view. I really enjoyed it.

Yes, it looks like Denny was enjoying TT more than the guy next to him checking the photos on his camera.

:rotfl: Yeah - Denny is totally smiling. :thumbsup2

I think you are headed to AK. Was this the trip you didn't make it to HS?

Yes - this was the trip we never made it to HS which seems totally unbelievable . And you are correct, AK is the next park on our list!

The quiet pool looks so...quite! Nice break from the parks. :thumbsup2

That's nice that you were able to take advantage of those evening FP+ before the tiering. We are trying to plan most of them for the afternoon as well, since that seems to be the best use of them.

Oh those villas....gorgeous!! ...and you know how much I love time at the pool! Looks like a fantastic afternoon!

Dis-meets are the best - even for a few moments, it's great to say hello!

That made me smile. So glad you got to meet up with them - and that they got to have a trip together. :)

I'm so glad we got to see them. It was nice to get to chat. They were off to somewhere for dinner, so I'm sorry we didn't get to spend more time with them but I know they had a great trip!

It is nice to know you can walk in a park and have a Fastpass ready to go for a ride. The system has its pros and lots of cons from what I read, but we'll end up adjusting, as we always do, and Disney will tweak and re-tweak, as it does.

It definitely has its pros and cons. And, obviously, this trip was prior to the new tier system so we were able to get BOTH FP's. I hate that you can't do that now. You're right - you just end up adjusting to the new normal.

Magi Kingdom's hub area is going to be kind of an ugly construction zone for a while, it seems. When finished, though, it is going to be a huge help with the traffic flow that gets so horrid at parade times. ::yes::
The quiet pool looks very inviting. :cool2:

When we were there a couple of weeks ago it looked ugly. I hate that they are doing construction so soon after finishing Fantasyland, but I do think improving the flow pattern will help. I'll try to be an optimist for now.

Your pictures of the Grand are so pretty.

That resort really is just so pretty. I am really looking forward to our stay at the villas in October.

Great PP pictures, and so good you were still celebrating that anniversary........... :goodvibes And you got some really good pictures of the GF on the way by. :thumbsup2

2.5 mile walk from the parking lot........... :lmao:

:lmao: OK, so I exaggerated a bit! It's probably somewhere between 1/4 and a 1/2 mile. It just feels SO far, especially when you see the inn in the distance. It looks almost like a mirage! :rotfl:

Love the view from your room, and :yay: for pool time. That quiet pool does look, well, peaceful and QUIET! :rotfl2:

I really loved the view from our room. As much as I loved our view from Last October, this was so much more private. I really enjoyed it!

And the pool - its one of my favorite quiet pools. Love it there.

Great that you had your FP+ where you could do Soarin' AND TT since that is the last time you can do them both because of the "Tier-ing" of rides. From now on, unless something changes, it will be either/or but you can't choose both.

I know - it was nice to sneak that in before the tier system. It made for a fun and productive afternoon. I hate that you can't choose both. I get it, but I hate it. They should make it if you really want both then the times have to be really far apart.

Denny does look like he is really enjoying his ride on TT. His mouth may say one thing about the ride, but his body language definitely says something else! :rotfl:

I agree! He always acts pretty nonchalant when we go on the ride, but I'm pretty sure he actually really loves it! :thumbsup2

:cool1: being able to sneak in a DISmeet!

I was so happy to meet up with Christine and Brielle. C was actually my first DIS meet ever, so its always great to see her!

The GF and villas are so gorgeous from the monorail!

Aren't they? The architecture makes looking at the building from all the different angles so interesting. It's almost like you can never get the same view twice.

And speaking of gorgeous, I really love your view.

I thought our view was really special. Just perfect for a couples trip because it was really so private out there.

What a great time at the quiet pool, peaceful indeed. Someday... I'm going to use that pool myself! You're only making me want to go to the Boardwalk more! :thumbsup2

I love the Boardwalk. It really is a special resort. I think the reason I love it so much is because its reminiscent of my childhood trips to Atlantic City with my grandmother. But all three pools are very different, the lobby is stunning, and the location can't be beat.

Yes, absolutely this is a huge benefit to the new system. Some parts of it are hard to adapt to, but this plus is a major one in the "Pro" category! (Although I should bite my tongue, I haven't tried the new tiered system yet!)

I know - this was before the tiered system. We used the tiered system briefly a couple weeks ago at HS. We got on RnR early, Road Tot with FP and then had TSM later. It worked well. Epcot is going to be tough. We didn't do any FP's at Epcot because we were mostly there in the evening and I already used up my FPs at AK.

Sounds like a great time at Epcot! TT, Soarin, and a Dismeet! :thumbsup2

It was definitely a nice afternoon and evening - with more fun to come!

I'm here! I'm late but finally starting to get back on the boards a bit. I will get caught up and comment at some point today!

:welcome: Krysten! Thanks for joining in! No worries about being late. You've been just a "little" busy lately. There is plenty of trip left!

This really shows what I dislike most about FP+. One... park... per... day... So because you had FP's at Epcot, you could do nothing in MK.

Exactly, but it worked OK for us because we weren't planning on doing anything in MK except hang out with the family. And even if we had FP's there we never would have gotten Soarin and TT FP's in Epcot. They would have been long gone. I really do hope they allow you to book in different parks. I would love that - then you really could tailor your day much better.

Of course, you also point out what I like about FP+. The ability to pre-book for later in the day.

:thumbsup2

And another DISmeet!!! WOW!!!

I'm so glad we got to see C and Brielle. Christine was actually my first DIS meet ever several years ago. It's always fun to see her.

Dang it! I had all of your last updates quoted with responses and then I just hit the wrong button and deleted it all. GRRR.

Oh NOOOOOOOO! I love your responses! Definitely too much trouble to go back and do them again. :faint:

Anyway, I'm caught up. If I get time, I'll try and re-do my commentary. Sorry about that.

No worries. Glad you're caught up and even finding the time to read at all. I know how busy it is in your house right now. I'm impressed you are keeping your own TR up to date.

One note on doing the Tomorrowland Speedway some day...

meme_its_a_trap.jpg

So what you are saying is I DON'T want the speedway on my bucket list? :lmao: I'll just wait for grandkids!

Man, that walk from the parking lot to the Boardwalk sounds terrible. I can't imagine how unenjoyable it is late at night after a long, hot day in the parks.

It feels SO long especially since once you get inside the halls are really long too! It does add insult when you legs are stiff and your feet are sore and then you see the inn off in the distance and wonder if you are going to make it! :rotfl2:

The GF Villas look so pretty. I'm looking forward to seeing a TR where you stay there in order to see the photos. :rotfl:

I can't wait to stay there. We have 3 nights planned there in October and one of them is our actual anniversary. I'm very excited for that! :thumbsup2

Pre-booking Fastpasses does have its perks, like being able to go into Epcot in the afternoon and go straight to Soarin'.

That is the major advantage from what I can see. Soarin, TT, TSM - those are the ones that are so hard to get for afternoon visits. Now you can visit in the afternoon. I would just like to have the option to book FP's in more than one park per day. You could have some fun with that.

It looks like you had the Turkey Sandwich from Sunshine Seasons. Did you like it? It's a personal favorite of mine. I tend to order it every time I'm in the Land.

You should be able to tell I liked it - I devoured it before I remembered to take the picture! :rotfl2: It was very yummy!

Haha, Denny does look like he was having fun on Test Track. The pictures don't lie!

Exactly - pictures DON'T lie. He looks like a little kid. So cute!

Another DISmeet...that's great!

I was thrilled to meet up with Christine and Brielle. It was great to see them and know that they had a fantastic trip!

The past few weeks every time I see any picture involving the Hub area or the waterways/moats in MK I keep thinking that it's one of the last captures of the way they were now that they've started construction of redesigning the Hub and significantly diminishing the waterways. Your pictures of the Plaza sitting area and Tomorrowland reminded me of that again. I'm still excited to see how the newly designed Hub will look like.

We have yet to have been seated in the first row after all of the countless times we've been on Soarin'. I know I could always ask the CM to see if they can fit us into the front row but when the moment comes I just don't want to deal with the hassle. ;) I was reading last week that they were filming a new HD scene at DL for Soarin but don't know if the new footage is coming to Epcot or just at DCA.

Love your TT photos! I need to try to have my camera out more during that ride.

I have not read through all the comments so please forgive me if this is a repeat. They only put real hair on the leg that is hanging down from the bridge, because that is close enough for guests to see the detail.

Great afternoon, pool and relaxing time, a short walk to Epcot, and more fun had by all. Yes, I think Denny looks like he's enjoying TT :)

And very cool you got a meet in :)

I think you're getting the warnings from everybody but I'll add mine too. Avoid the Speedway!!!!

Ah, the cottage pool. That's how I always think of that one. LOVE that pool. Jeff and I are DEFINITELY going there in September!

There's just something about that pool that I love. I can't go there too late in a trip though. It makes me too sad to go home! :worried:

YAY for seeing C and Brielle!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad I ran into them. I know they had dinner plans somewhere that night since it was their last night. It was great to have a few moments to say hello.

That's an interesting fact about the wheelchairs. I have seen the ones they have when you get off the buses but didn't know they had them in the parking lots too.

I had no idea. And we were there the day before and parked in the exact same place so you would think I would have noticed then. Unless, of course, they were all in use. Who knows? :confused3

So glad you guys went to the quiet pool instead of the main one. I did not need to see the crazy clown pool today!

:rotfl2: Here is something interesting about the crazy clown pool - when you are actually sitting on the pool deck that crazy clown really doesn't look so crazy. Weird? Yes. But I swear its true!

That is the same sandwich my Mom got! I couldn't tell what it was from the picture I took because I got mostly the top. It looks like some kind of turkey sandwich from your picture. :confused3

Yup - same one only I took a picture AFTER it was devoured. Yup - starving and forgetful does not make a good combination. :rotfl:

So nice that you guys got to use the FP+ for both TT and Soarin'. Jim and I got to do that in October also but we got stuck with the tiering system in February and as a result never made it on TT.

We had the tiering system just a few weeks ago when we stopped there briefly. Fortunately I was able to do everything I wanted at HS, but since our visit to Epcot was very brief I didn't even try. So it really is a balancing act of your priorities. The bottom line is you always have to sacrifice something.

I was :lmao:at your comments about the speedway. In DL, we rode them ::yes:: and I let Paige (who's not quite 11!) drive/steer. She couldn't master the pedal and the wheel, so I controlled the acceleration. OH MY GOSH! I was jerked around on that thing so bad from banging into that center rail! WHIPLASH!!! And she's cracking up the whole time! :drive:

:rotfl2: That sounds painful! Ouch! I guess I'll just have to ride it myself. :rotfl2: I sincerely doubt Denny will get on with me!

I was pretty sure before this, but this solidified my decision that DH is going to teach the girls to drive.

Well, speaking from someone who sat in the passenger side of the car griping the side of the door and using an imaginary break, I don't blame you one bit! :lmao:Teaching the kids to drive was never high on my list of things to do! :scared1:

Oh you KNOW I'm serious about it! And get the cameras ready because I will do my best to not be the shy, introvert that I am normally!!! :rotfl2:

Maybe you'll get lucky enough to be "that guy" on your next trip and you BETTER have the cameras rolling. I can't wait to see those pics. ::yes::

Ahhh, what a view! You know, sometimes I wish all the pools at Disney were quiet. Usually if I want to go to a pool, it's more because I want to relax, not because I want to listen to extremely loud music and people talking with microphones. And the quiet pools themselves are a bit... dull. Maybe that's just me! :rotfl:

I'm not a big fan of the pool parties either, as much as I do love all the themed pools. But I enjoy most of the quiet pools just as much. I have a few favs - I like the piano pool at ASMU, the Grandstand and Congress Park pools at SSR, and the inn pool at the Boardwalk.

Hahaha, Denny does seem to be enjoying himself in the Test Track picture!

He does, doesn't he? That picture makes me smile because it really seems to speak the truth.

What a cool Dismeet. :)

I was so happy to meet up with C and Brielle, even though it was a short meet. It was just fun to see them at the end of their trip.

Great leftovers Mary Ellen:rotfl2:

Are you implying that I should have left that picture out? :rotfl: Just trying to be a good DISer! ::yes::

Test Track is neat with the new design a car!! I however do NOT like the fast part!!

Really? That's the best part. I do like the entire ride better. I know not everyone does, but I think its an improvement.

Pool time is always good !!:goodvibes

You got that right!

Yes the FP+ system does have some good points but right now those are few.

The PROs
Being able to book a specific time you pick ( in most cases) without relying on the luck on the FP.
Grace 5 min before and 15 after.
It is cool to use.. :)

I do like the grace period and I do like picking specific times and knowing them. And it is cool to scan your band to go in. That's fun.

Now for the cons
only 3
only 1 park
the whole way to book - too many clicks
you HAVE to take 3
Hour time blocks ( no overlapping) so you have "dead" time where they want you to shop.
Tiers
Even though you can change it with the app it is a pain and slow.

My biggest complaints are the tiers and the 1 park. If they are only going to give you three you should be able to split them between two parks.

I think there was always some dead time so I can't complain about that too much.

I do agree that its a pain to change things and the suggestive times are never what I want.

I thought the app was bad because my phone is old and slow. I did not think it was a universal problem. Interesting.

In any event - I am trying to be patient as they work all this out.

It just needs to be more flexible to meet the variety of touring styles people have.

Agreed! :thumbsup2

You can never have too many castle pictures and with all the changes going on now - it will be nice to look back on them and then go and take new ones.

I'm actually glad I took so many in October now that I know the whole area is going to change. Maybe I am more visionary that I thought! :rotfl:

How nice to meet up with Brielle and C. :goodvibes

It was great to see them. They had a wonderful trip together. It's so great that C did that for Brielle. I really admire her for that.

You picked well for your FP+ :thumbsup2

I think so. That was pre tiers.

Waiting to see what booths you visit. :drinking1

Well, here is where I may have failed a bit. I did not take pictures of all the booths I visited so I am going to have to rely on my passport and, of course, I have no idea where it is right now. :rolleyes1

Some people don't realize that distances increase by the day as you walk more and more during a Disney stay. It is a proven fact. :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: That's true - It IS! :rotfl2:

... and most importantly, no clown. :thumbsup2

Hey, I've got to defend the creepy crown. He's not quite as creepy when you are actually on the pool deck. I have no idea why that is. :confused3 But he does look much worse in pictures! :rotfl:

This is the one thing that I think looks appealing about this FP+ process. Except for the fact that you can no longer get both Soarin' and TT. That is a pretty big strike against FP+ for me.

I know. I think that really stinks for Epcot because if you only have one of those then you either have to skip the other or go standby first thing in the morning. I mean - really - those are the two that everyone wants to ride.

He's a guy. He enjoys going fast. There's really nothing to even discuss here. The ride may just be "okay" but going fast is always fun.

 You know what - that's a good point! I love that part of TT. It's just the best feeling and I wish it was twice as long.

I'm glad that you were able to sneak in a quick DISmeet, and glad that Brielle was able to come along on the trip.

Congrats to both of them for getting the entire passport. :thumbsup2

I am happy we got to see each other and I think its awesome that C invited Brielle as her guest. That was really special.

On the FP+ deal - there's lots of discussion about them adding more to be allowed and/or tweaking the tier system. I hope they get it worked out and make it better by Christmas - when I get to go back!!!

I hope so too and I hope that don't do anything with tiers in MK. I was pretty much able to get what I wanted last time and I liked that. Keeping my fingers crossed for Christmas!

Great day so far! We never went to the quite pool at the Boardwalk when we were there but it sounds nice and relaxing.......and you don't have a weird, creepy clown looking at you!

It was a really fun day! No complaints from me.

Here's the thing about the clown. I used to think it was super creepy until I actually went to that pool. It's really not that bad when you are sitting on the pool deck. I can't explain it, but I know its true.

The quiet pool looks so...quite! Nice break from the parks. :thumbsup2

I love that pool. It is absolutely one of my favorites. Yes - it is probably weird to have favorite quiet pools, but I do.

That's nice that you were able to take advantage of those evening FP+ before the tiering. We are trying to plan most of them for the afternoon as well, since that seems to be the best use of them.

I don't like that they tiered them at Epcot. I think it really stinks that you can't FP both Soarin and TT. I hope they can do something to fix that. Spread the gap between the two and make it somewhat inconvenient to weed out some people. that's my suggestion.

Oh those villas....gorgeous!! ...and you know how much I love time at the pool! Looks like a fantastic afternoon!

I KNOW you do and I know you can appreciate a good quiet pool and I really think the BWI pool is one of the best. It's just so relaxing and you really feel like you are away from everything but then you can hear the soft sounds of the F&W crowds on the breeze. It's cool.

Dis-meets are the best - even for a few moments, it's great to say hello!

DIS meets are the best. I was so fortunate to have quite a few this trip and it really was a highlight. :thumbsup2

Loving the trip report so far!!

:welcome: Stephanie! Thanks for joining in! Glad you are enjoying my TR. I see you have a trip right around the corner. Enjoy all the planning fun!

I am glad I took as many pictures as I did in October because it will definitely be different after the redesign.

I, too, am excited to see how it looks. I'm sure it will be lovely, it was just really weird seeing it a few weeks ago with no water and 3 cranes.

We have yet to have been seated in the first row after all of the countless times we've been on Soarin'. I know I could always ask the CM to see if they can fit us into the front row but when the moment comes I just don't want to deal with the hassle. ;)

I know what you mean. I know there are people who ask, but I rather just get on the ride. I have had the coveted first row and I do love it, but I'll take whatever seat they give me. The only time I wasn't happy with a seat was when I was riding alone and I got seated with a whole group of 8th grade boys. Yeah - that was fun! :rotfl2:

I was reading last week that they were filming a new HD scene at DL for Soarin but don't know if the new footage is coming to Epcot or just at DCA.

PLEASE bring it to Epcot! please! Please! PLEASE! :worship:

Love your TT photos! I need to try to have my camera out more during that ride.

You should. You'll end up with fantastic photos. I really love TT after the re-do.

I have not read through all the comments so please forgive me if this is a repeat. They only put real hair on the leg that is hanging down from the bridge, because that is close enough for guests to see the detail.

I did NOT know that either. I am obviously one of those guests who never appreciated the detail before now. I will make sure to take a good look next time! :lmao:

Great afternoon, pool and relaxing time, a short walk to Epcot, and more fun had by all. Yes, I think Denny looks like he's enjoying TT :)

It was a great day and breaking it up with some quiet time at my favorite quiet pool is just what we needed.

I have to show Denny that picture just so I can prove to him how much he actually likes test track! :rotfl:

And very cool you got a meet in :)

I was so happy to see C and Brielle. It would have really stunk to have missed them. They both had a great time and its so great they were able to travel together.

I think you're getting the warnings from everybody but I'll add mine too. Avoid the Speedway!!!!

:rotfl2: Is is really THAT bad? All these warnings are scaring me! :scared1:

Wow. Incredible how much you can do in a day and not even dinner yet! Love your use of FP+ for evening. I am disappointed in the new tiering at Epcot for FP+. No TT and Soarin on one day for FP+ now. Oh well.

I love the VGF pics. You must be looking forward to your stay there. I am interested to see the building completed during our upcoming April trip.

Don't get too excited about dinner because we ate a few things at the kiosks, but I didn't take a lot of pictures so I don't know everything we had. I find it really hard to take pictures when sampling at the kiosks. It requires too much coordination for me. :rotfl2:

I don't like the new tiering system either. I think it effects Epcot the worst. If you want to do both rides better be there at park opening or be prepared to wait.

I can't wait to stay there. We are doing 2 nights at VWL and then over to VGF and then our cruise. It should be fun.

You must really be looking forward to your April trip. Is this a couple's only trip?

This is another couple's trip. Lehigh Spring break was early March and the boys went to the Georgia coast. So, we are going on our "Spring Break" to Disney!
