DD#1 has to write a term paper about Egypt and do an Egyptian mask--a 6 day process--last night step 1 did not work, but we finally completed it tonight--plaster strips over her face for 1/2 hour--later we'll plaster, paint, decorate etc. She had to pick the hardest project--the teacher even said next year this one won't be an option because it's "too much hassle!"
Now I have to get her to work on the rough draft....fun weekend here! I wonder if all 6th graders do this stuff now!

I had to do a paper/project on a country when I was in grade 6. I'm 37 :earseek:  :scared1: now!!!!

Good Luck with the rest of the work this weekend.

I had to do a paper/project on a country when I was in 6th grade too, and I'm......ummmmm....I'm older than 37 now :scared1:

This project sounds like a lot of work but I'll bet your daughter does a great job.

Robin when you're doing a project on Egypt just remember one thing: beware of pyramid schemes:jester:

Whenever my kids at school bring in really complicated spectacular projects that I know took them hours (and took their parents similar hours in supervision!), I always think, "There are some parents out there wishing I hadn't made that assignment today!" :) Then I think happy thoughts about those parents and their hard-working children. Have fun and enjoy your "trip" to Egypt. (I loved the advice about the pyramid schemes!)
