I won't answer because at the age of 35, I'm back in school now to get the degree I never had.
I had some credits previously - enough to consider myself a college sophomore. (see, Megen, don't feel dumb). But now I'm going back for my nursing degree, and I don't know if I'll stop at the ADN (associates), BSN (bachelors) or more. I love being a student, so the sky's the limit.
All that being said, education is a wonderful thing but isn't everything. DH, with his trade school education, has done well for us over the years. That still is a higher education, but not considered as respectable as a "real" college degree. Not everyone is book smart or motivated toward schooling but still has a great deal of common sense and other skills and are smart in other ways.
