The Dynamic Dieting Duo - Aug 21/28 - 7 nights of QSDP w/pics!

Great report - I just caught up on your last few entries now that I returned myself. We used a lot of your tips at ASMu so I thank you for that!

Your report was very interesting and easy to read and you have inspired me to write a food report now. I just have to get all my receipts together and get started later this week!

One piece of advice for your next trip - if they offer free dining, it may be worth it to upgrade to DDP (we did) so your parents can enjoy some really nice meals. I agree that it is way too much food, but for a one-time trip that may be your parents only trip, it may be worth it.

My DH tried to go "healthy" as much as possible with salads and fruit - we'll see how well that worked outonce I get my food trip report going!

So glad my report and tips could actually help! Looking forward to reading your food report! It's going to be soooo long until our next WDW trip, I need to read a lot of reports and see a lot of pictures to keep me going!

We'll definitely have to talk it over with my parents. They are totally clueless as to what awaits them in WDW, so we have months of discussions ahead of us! I would really like to try TS restaurants with them though, because I know they won't be going at the same pace as us, so TS will force us to slow down a bit... Unfortunatly, my dad has just been diagnosed with cancer a couple of weeks ago, so the plans now are up in the air until we know more. Now is not the best of times to start planning. My wish is that in December 2011, we can have a family trip to celebrate my dad's victory over cancer :)

Yummy, I am sure that many others are adding their wishes to mine for just that celebration next year.:grouphug:

Might I ask what kind of cancer? I have many friends who have had cancers and are still going decades later. It is a wonderful world that we live in.

Thanks for the wishes :) It's colon cancer, which is treatable. My dad went through a bunch of tests, and it turns out his cancer is "well located" and hasn't spread, and should be relatively standard procedure to get rid of.

Yummy, being of a 'certain age' myself I have always felt that losing a body part that is not essential is the best way. I am relieved to hear that your dad has something that can be taken care of pretty easily. :lovestruc

Now start planning that trip for next year and have the best time of both your lives.:thumbsup2

This was a great review! Thanks so much for sharing your food adventures!

I definitely think you guys would do just as well OOP since you like to split meals. However, if you go when it is colder, you might find that you eat more. Dh and I love to split our meals too - except we order 2 LOL.
