I know many people wish for new resorts, discounts, policy changes...

I think my #1 wish would be discounts on DCL (like those unbelievable FL resident DCL discounts that just came out- oh how I would love access to those rates!)

What is your #1 wish regarding DVC?
 
I'd have to say building villas at the GF. I'd buy there in a heartbeat! :cloud9:
 

I'd love sleeper chairs in all 1 bedrooms.

And a beach resort at either SanDestin or St. Augustine.
 
I agree with the wish to make reservations on the website or the one about the GF.

I agree, as a DVC member I would love to receive the same discounts as FL residents and the CM's!! After all, we have a vested interest in Disney!! :upsidedow

I wish for new pull out sofas at VWL.

I wish for a DVC resort at the Polynesian... Soon.

I wish for more points at AKV. 150 doesn't seem enough.
 
I would like to see:

1. More off-property Eastern U.S. DVC Destinations.
2. Use of points for MYW Tickets, APs, and AIRFARE.
3. Contemporary DVC
4. More information about II trades.
(I still feel like its a stab in the dark - but I haven't traded yet either.)
5. More DVC locations around the world.
6. More Concierge Collection hotels, but with reasonable point charts.

7. Better housekeeping
8. Room ready at 2pm - or at least 4pm.
 
I wish I were still paying the same dues I paid in 1997.
 
That's a tough question... Naming just one item! I like to think I am relatively easy to please, but is it too much to ask that the existing "owners" be catered to a little bit more efficiently??

We have only been members for a little over a year now, but some of the trends I have seen lately are disturbing... Disappearing discounts, fees added, banking rule changes, etc...

Quit trying to sell me add ons every 20 minutes... I live less than an hour away from the "Doorway to Dreams"... Do I really need a reminder about it every month? How about taking some of that advertising budget $$$ and perhaps, oh I don't know, maybe hire some more cleaning staff to turn around the villas more efficiently. Or perhaps update the existing antiquated reservation system and be able to Guarantee my specific room requests at 11 months out so I at least feel like my "ownership" actually has any benefits!

This is a big one for me also- as an SSR owner. Location categories is high on my wish list. (Click on my blue and black SSR banner in my sig for the booking categories at SSR thread)
 
I'm an SSR member and I'm tired of going on Vacation and having to clean my room so that it is livable. When I look at the year end cost house keeping is a large part of the cost. Why? Also Disney is always taking away benefits, or giving something for free for a year or two and then charging. And what is with all the non DVC people staying at DVC resorts now. What is their window for booking?
 
I agree with the one wishing we could get the Florida resident discounts..or the CA ones with GCV comes on.

GREAT thread 10KVolts!!! You and TJKraz should be up for some type of award from us fellow SSR owners:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Count me in on that... I seem to remember that there was some type of petition that was circulating around here that would allow us to inform DVC Member Satisfaction of our wishes en masse.

That would be a wonderful way,IMO, of letting our feelings known... It's one thing to receive emails and letters here and there, but quite another to receive one with 4 or 500 signatures on it!

PS: How do I obtain that SSR Guaranteed Booking tag??

THAT is the proverbial million dollar question:rotfl::rotfl2:. Their "window" seems to differ depending on what resort you are talking about! At SSR, as an "owner", I have no better a chance of obtaining my Grandstand request for our upcoming trip (that I booked 11 months out) than some schmuck who reserves at 3 weeks out who happens to beat me to the front desk on check in day...

How's that for equitable?

A reminder that it is fine to encourage people to express their feelings to Member Services/Member Satisfaction. However, petitions and form letters are not allowed on the DIS.

I'd like the sleeper chair in the 1BRs as well, at least until DD#1 is too old to travel with us. I'd also like discounts on hoppers--I may be able to use an AP in the future, but for now we can only travel once a year--our next trips are April 09 and summer of 10, so an AP wouldn't work for us.
