The Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane

Was so busy with work that I totally missed the castle dress release...praying they restock it online because I'm not getting to the parks before July, if then. We have a stupid project that's being delayed again because the vendor can't get their act together.

I am 5'10" and wear S in Dress Shop dresses...do you think I would need to size up to M? I am 30D so fairly slim
no one has seen it in the parks - not even the Facebook page I follow - and some of those women are at the parks every day!

I've not seen anyone post it's being sold in the parks yet. The sizing, I don't think it's petite friendly and I felt it ran a size small. That's a hard call with your height and bust size. You're so tiny! If the dress shop dresses (size S) fit a little loose, I'd recommend a Small, if not then get the medium.

Do yourself a favor, buy both!

Thank you! I will keep an eye out online for the restock...will probably get M just to be on the safe side if I can manage.

Off topic—Wanted to come on here and share some good news…
I’m now a grandma (she’s gonna call me Coco and hubby Popo). My daughter had a very difficult pregnancy, but was a warrior throughout to make sure Mackenzie was delivered safely and healthy.

And in other good news, after trying on the dress again and having hubby here to help zip, we got the medium zipped! It’s very tight on top and thru ribcage…..and he’s not thrilled about it making the girls “disappear” but oh well. It fits.

Wow, congratulations Coco!!! Best wishes to you and your family
LOVE the names and may I say, Mackenzie is absolutely breathtaking!

You look great in the Cinderella dress too!

Re: Tiana dress

I wish shopDisney would include more details like the actual size of the model and the dress size she has on.
Example:

SIZE & FIT (taken from Saks)
  • A-line silhouette
  • About 38" from shoulder to hem
  • Model measurements: 5'10" tall
  • Model is wearing a US size 4

Yes! I’m a short person, and this sleek style of dress looks slightly silly on me going down past my knees

I’d like to get the Tiana dress, but think I’ll wait for reviews or when I’m down there to see in person and get AP discount. Sometimes me and ruffles don’t get along.

So ladies, regarding the Dress Shops dresses, what do you think Disney's target audience is, the age group they are trying to target?

Age: "18-24," "25-34," "35-44," "45-54," "55-64," "65+,"

Yes, we buy what we like but that's not what I'm asking and it's not the point.

They always use young models aged between 18-24 or younger, right?
How many young gals do you know that can afford these dresses?

Idk, it would be nice to see a variety of models wearing these dresses and different sized women too not just the toothpicks we often see. Jealous, hell no. Just frustrated Disney doesn't know better. :hippie:

Just chatter.

I would like for them to start using curvier models alongside the current models (Loungefly does this). Some of the dresses actually look better on someone with a bit more meat on their bones, but that’s just a matter of opinion. I think most are made to flatter most body types, and Disney has done a good job with that. I really just wish they’d get their act together on accurate size charts.
