He'd rather just tell you your problem as he sees it, and be done with it. I think people who object to that are the type who like to go to the counselor, talk on and on about their feelings, how do their feelings make them feel, how do their feelings about their feelings make them feel ... that's just not me.
I also saw Dr. Phil and his son on Donahue last night. Dr. Phil is one thing, but wow, is that son something else. What a looker.
