the "Dont forget this when you leave" thread **updated**

I've started a list of things to remember too! (on my own)

*boom box (with batteries), CDs for first dance (b/c we're intimate, they said we'd have to supply our own)
*buttoned-down shirt so Anna Wasacar can do makeup without me being fully dressed
*shot list for Randy (with everyone's names and which photos we'd like, so we don't end up milling around, trying to remember what we wanted)
*thank-you note for officiant
*portable steamer for dress
*honeymoon itinerary, with dates, times, and confirmation numbers for tours and dining
*cell phone number of all the vendors (Randy, Anna, coordinator Juliana, etc.)

Great thread, keep it up!

I didn't even think of the shirt. Thank you!

Love the little things mentioned, like the "Thank You" note for the officiant...

And I was wondering if I would be the only one bringing my own steamer (even though its pretty much full-size). Good thing we're driving.

I think I'll definitely create lists by category: Things to have with me at all times in a bag, like documents, ID, camera, etc. Ceremony list, Hotel list (including welcome gifts, etc.)

Thanks everyone. This is great!

Well the things that pop into my mind that we could have use then we were there in Sept. getting engaged:banana: .

1. Suntan lotion
2. Aloe vera for sunburns.
3. Second pair of sneakers. (incase of rain or wet rides, or foot sores or blisters.)
4. Cream for heat rashes
5. Sunglasses or a hat (obvious but good to have on the list)

Something that really helped me during the begining planninig and well the last several months is I put boxes in the guest room and when I would complete something i would but it in the correct box. Such as, ceremony, reception, gifts, person items, etc. Then I had a list on the outside of the boxes.

Here are some random/obscure items that I had with me that helped me out on more than one occasion!:

*Scissors - you'd be surprised how many times these came in handy.. either because I forgot to take the tags of some new clothes, or was finishing up some of our welcome baskets for our guests - i was glad i had these with me!

*good ziplock bags - these came in handy sooo many times!

*slippers - after walking around the park all day the hotel floor can feel VERY hard! My pair of slippers were a life-saver!!

*a list of everyone's phone numbers (guests & vendors & coordinators, etc) in addition to having them programmed into my cell phone

*printed daily itinerary with park hours, ADR & reservation number, times of fireworks, etc.

i'll post more if i think of any :)

For folks traveling to or from overseas: don't forget your passport and an adaptor so you can use all your chargers and appliances wherever you go.

Hope this doesn't sound gross but, I always make sure to pack a feminine hygiene emergency kit (tampons, maxi pads, Shout wipes & an extra pair of undies). ;) I keep it in a small ziploc baggie, and take it to the parks just in case of an emergency.

Good idea as we went to India last Dec and I would have had a bad time if I hadn't taken spares. I wear the extended wear ones, and wore my glasses thru' the long flight as I would put in a fresh pair when we arrived, BUT one of the lenses had been heat-sealed into the lid making it unuseable. So glad that I had a spare one, so now I always take a 'spare' spare one!

To add to the list, we're taking disposable spoon/fork so we can eat the anniversary layer of our cake in our room, as we won't be allowed to take it home - yum yum!
Also, I always make sure I have a small notebook and pen with me as I often things of things then forget them if I haven't written it down initially (but that's probably my age;) )

regarding contact lenses. I also bring my perscription...just in case.

Also, wedding bands. and deodrant. If you've purchased a special gift or card for you DH. (I forgot the one I had purchased for our Anniv. trip last year)

I dont know if any one else gets eaten alive by mosquitos at WDW, I deffinatly do, this may sound strange, but I've found the best thing to pack in case of mosquitos is a "Bounce" dryer sheet. If you start to notice mosquitos, just take out the Bounce sheet and rub it on your hands, legs, neck, etc. It keeps them away as well as any repellant will. Plus, it smells a lot better and is very easy to pack around.

This is random, but if you plan on drinking any bottles of wine in your room, a corkscrew? If I remember right, last time we were at WDW, we had a bottle of wine with us, and then when we went to open it... we couldn't :rotfl2:

Just to let anyone know, most of the general stores at the resorts that sell wine have disposable corkscrews. DF and I like to buy wine at the store inside GF, get some Mickey cups from the poolside bar and sit in the lobby listening to the pianist and drink our wine. Very relaxing!

DF and I decided last night that we need to take a bottle of Febreze too!

It's going to be JULY and FLORIDA and HOT!!!

We have our ceremony, reception, and dessert party. Then 2 days later we have our MK photo shoot. We thought my dress and his tux might need a nice spritz of Febreze here and there between events :goodvibes

Downy spray to help with wrinkles when you are to lazy to iron. I used it in high school all the time on choir trips

For my wedding day we brought a lot of extra "emergency" items.
A few of the things we really ended up using were...
scissors
a glue gun...my antique bride and groom topper took a tumble to the floor before the ceremony and we had to glue the grooms head back on.
kleenex
and "nervous tummy medicine"...the pink stuff ...boy, I'm glad I tucked that in my bridal purse!

One thing that I wish I had packed for myself was a light snack before the ceremony. I would have really liked it if someone would have brought me a glass of champagne, and a few crackers. :cutie:

On my Disneymoon one thing that I brought that I always bring to WDW is a small drawstring backpack. I feel better being able to wear a small enough bag that I can still wear on my back even if I'm in a ride. I don't feel very good about having to hold a bag in my hands or wrapped around my legs during rides.

what is this, please? Not heard of it over here, but it sounds like it might be good!

It's a mist that you spray on your clothing and then hang them up and the wrinkles 'fall' out of them and you don't have to iron

wow! that sounds amazing stuff - do they sell it on the laundry shelves at supermarkets? I'll add that to my list of 'must buy's' on our first visit to the supermarket.
