Hi all,

This PTR is a nod to the fact i was the worse-est mammy for forgetting DDs dresses on our last trip!! They are packed already ;)

This is DD and my second trip, we had our 1st visit in March this year and while doing the weekly shop just before we went we saw this offer in conjunction with our local supermarket. The offer was for up to 40% off so i did a bit of budget planning and comparing prices and found we could stay in NPB for less then SF!!! Too good to refuse!!

I meantioned it to my friend Elaine and we decided it had been far too long since we had been away together (6 years this may!! maybe we were just looking for an excuse :rolleyes1:rolleyes1) so we tried booking for the week of my birthday but the allocated spaces were gone so we booked for the following week Tuesday 25th to Thursday 27th May for ourselves, my DD (4) and Elaines Dsis (11).

And so the Cast is....
Elaine (24) a bad influence and a great friend, loves shopping and Cinderella
Me (23.. almosr 24 eek) i love alice in wonderland and lemon sponge cake!
DD Jemma (4) loves Paramagique and IASW and her Minnie Ears
Elaine's Dsis Mairead (11) loves Irish dancing and Belle

The plan is::

Monday - kiss the boys goodbye, travel to Dublin, fit in a little shopping and check into the travelodge near the airport.

Tuesday - early check out, 6.30am flight, DLP at 11.30am and the fun begins!

Wednesday - Day in the parks, hopefully with some princess meets and parades

Thursday - Shop for souvenirs and enjoy our last day in the park. Home by 1am (to plan the next trip!!)

Oohh lemon sponge cake, mmmmm. :goodvibes

You just can't turn down a 40% deal can you - it would be rude!! :rotfl:

Hope you girls have a great time - look forward to photos of the dresses! :thumbsup2

Well hello :-)
that sounds like a really lovely girly trip :goodvibes
was it supervalu/breakaway you booked with? We've booked 5 days in the Sequoia with them for 500 cheaper than the Santa fe / Cheyenne would have been for our dates :cool1:

looking forward to your report when you come back WITH pics of ddin her gowns lol :thumbsup2

lol! she was not a happy bunny!!

has anyone seen nice alice or tiana dresses online lately? her belle winter dress is gettin tight and she has snow white already so im thinking alice or tiana, they're her new favourites!

yes rosabelle, booked with supervalue, im sorry we only booked 2 nights now but cest la vie! theres years yet before she grows out of princesses! that said i dont think i ever did!

Emma is the expert on dresses!! :rotfl:

Think we'll be getting Tiana or Silvermist before our trip - will depend on what Disney Store have in stock in Southampton! :goodvibes I love the gold Belle dress but think DD is after the red one as that is what her friends have! :rolleyes1

We soooo need a Disney store here :sad2:

There's just nowhere to get a good disney costume .... have you tried any of the party shops? If you're in Dublin there is a great one in clondalkin village party stop i think it's called, they might have a tiana for your dd.

we were originally going on the deal that was offered by Supervalu i.e. 2ad/2children 2 nights €299. but then it was 80 extra because dd is 16 and sure it was only another 80 on top of that to stay an extra night. Then I noticed BTM was closed until the 7th May and we just couldn't be missing that so i just had to add another night :littleangel:, before you know it the very cheap special offer became one of the dearest cheap deals ever

Btw there r lots of red Belle dresses on eBay at the moment

Sounds like a great trip is ahead & it would have been rude to ignore the deals;)

Have a fab time:goodvibes

hi everyone, sorry im only getting back now, we have a red belle dress but the sizing is very small age 5-7 is tight on my average sized 4 year old!!

going to look at ebay now!!

this trip is fast approaching. we made some dinner plans last night!!

rainforest cafe for tuesday lunch
cafe mickey for tuesday dinner
king ludwigs for wednesday lunch
npb buffet for wednesday dinner
planet hollywood for thursday lunch

we got 20% off vouchers (excluding 6 - 10pm) for Rainforest, Planet Hollywood and King Ludwigs when our tickets arrived yesterday!!!

is king ludwigs nice??? just thinking about fussy eaters... im not picky but the kids may just be, dd hated the sausages on our 1st trip in all the restaurants

Hi!

Kind Luds is lovely :) Honestly a bit of a hidden gem - not all sausages but a good variety of foods. We shared a starter - a Flammkuchen type thing - soo yummy :thumbsup2

I know what you mean! Me and my boyfriend were just looking at one night away as we're still currently teenagers and there for 'pocket money' isn't the best way to pay for a holiday! However, after looking at what was available including the night trip to paris and me spitting my dummy out until he agreed that we could have dinner with the Characters, it's eventually turned into a 4 night 5 day for £725!

started packing!!! just 2 weeks to go!
went shopping yesterday for a few (un)necessary bits!
im very worried about the volcanic ash.

Rosabelle i hope u got there ok in the end. what happens as regards your hotel booking if you dont make it??

ONE WEEK TIL WE SET OFF :banana::banana:

Im so excited. Trying to ignore the ash..... Jemma thinks theyre mean old bolcanos ruptin like that!!

Fingers crossed that naughty volcano keeps it's ash to itself so you can get there! :shamrock: How many dresses are you packing...???!!!

i hope you get there and back fine. it must be so annoying to have this worry instead of enjoying the lead up to it

oh im bloody terrified. im not a great flyer nor one to advocate valium but they're in my purse ready and willing to be taken. i dont have my other halfs hand to squeeze this time but im sure elaine wont mind me holding hers!!

printed the confirmation letters and did the online check in.... :cheer2:

only the one dress, her belle one is a wee bit too tight now but she perceps (read - in jemma speak prefers) her snow white one. might invest in a tiana dress as a very special treat while we're there as some mean spirited people kept pipping me to the post on ebay bids!

i dont think the tiana dress is available anymore. it wasnt in march and the cm didnt know if they were getting any more back in

Tiana dress isn't in our local Disney Store and it wasn't anywhere to be seen in DLP either! Ebay could be the only answer...

The dresses are 60-70 Euros depending on which one, they have a beautiful Sleeping Beauty one with long sleeves at the moment! :lovestruc but I'm holding out for a reversible one!
