The dog tripped me

My big older dog tripped me yesterday as I was walking downstairs to our storage area and caused me to miss the last step. I am now the proud owner of new crutches and a badly sprained ankle. ARGHHHH!!!

So much for trying to finish my Christmas shopping this week. I was told at Urgent Care to stay off of it for the next 2 weeks. I guess I will have to finish shopping online. I had to miss work today and don't know if I will be returning this week. My vacation starts Saturday so at least I can rest.

I feel so restless just sitting around. I'm glad it wasn't worse but it comes at such an inconvenient time.

My dog plowed into me last week. I thought I was a goner! (She snuck upstairs and was doing the "hahaha crazy doggie" I am upstairs run.)

I'm the proud owner of titanium plates and several screws in my elbow from my goofy dog. He was so happy that I was laid up in bed for a few days - he snuggled with me all day long. I swear, if he wasn't so dumb I'd think he planned it.

Now you have an excuse to DIS all day!

I'm very sorry. My cat tried something very similar during Thanksgiving weekend. I was on a step stool getting items out of the pantry when my cat walked by and sat under where I needed to step to get off. I didn't realize the cat was there. I stepped off, my foot ontop of the cat and then tried to put my foot somewhere else so that I didn't hurt the cat. Instead I fell into a door and cut my hand on the door knob. Now my dog has knocked me over more than once. Thank god she doesn't use the stairs. Sometimes I wonder why I have the zoo of animals that I do.
