I am so damn sick of hearing this. I'm tired of all these tests and no answers. I'm tired of being sick and puking my toenails up several times a week. I'm tired of hurting and being tired.

I've lost almost 35lbs. Weight loss from puking my guts up is not fun or normal. I need answers but can't get them. Now I'm going to cry.

Try cutting dairy out of your diet. It sounds crazy but puking like that is a symptom of a dairy issue.
Good luck!

So sorry you are going through this Tina. Sending you a :hug:I hope you will feel better and that some dr. can get to the bottom of this.

I don't know if you have mentioned details in earlier posts, but maybe if you gave details of your symptoms, and what types of tests you have had so far/

I hope you can find some answers and start feeling better!!!!

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. You must be so frustrated and tired of being sick.

I don't know if you have mentioned details in earlier posts, but maybe if you gave details of your symptoms, and what types of tests you have had so far/

I hope you can find some answers and start feeling better!!!!

I vomit about 3x a week
I hurt so much on the right side about 3 inches under my breast bone
I belch like sailor and just feel yucky alot

I've had a CT scan, ultrasound, HIDA scan, and gastro emptying stomach test so far. The GI doctor said today maybe I need to go on anti depressant to "relax" my stomach.

your symptoms sound like what I had a few years ago..they thought it was my gallbladder, and turned out just to be a respiratory infection!
Hope you feel better soon!

That's great and I need to lose more.

Well yeah--but essentially you lost it via bulimia--not of your own doing of course. But you are losing weight b/c of vomiting and not from voluntary healthy decisions of your own.

Your doctor has a screw loose.

What does he think of the vomiting 3x per week?

I'm sorry you are still feeling ucky.
Didn't the Dr. put you on any meds for your stomache?

This may sound really specific,
I was nasious, pukey. The only time I felt fine, was when I didn't eat.
My gallbladder was shot, fine, they took it out.
But, the valve from my stomache to my small intenstine was spasm so bad, that my Dr. could not do a decent Endoscopy.
I had to have that valve clipped by a special gastro Dr.
Have you had an endoscopic done yet?

Sounds like you need an new gastroenterologist. If they have not done an endoscopy and colonoscopy, then they have not done their job. Based on the few symptoms you have posted, it's tough to tell what it might be. But your gastroenterologist should be exploring the possibility of gastroparesis and/or ptotic colon (a section of intestin loses elasticity and no longer functions properly.)

Reglan works well for the nausea - and is one of the meds prescribed for gastroparesis.

Are there any foods that seem to make it better or worse? Usually with GI issues you are told to eat lots of fiber. However, a high fiber diet can actually make gastroparesis worse. I hope you find answers soon. It's no fun to be sick constantly.

I'm sorry Tina. It sounds like your pain is pretty much where mine is. I hope you can get an answer and relief VERY soon. Have they given you phenergan to help you when it is at the worst?

Several times I thought I had mine figured out then I realized I had phenergan in my system. :headache: One time I thought it was the Vitamin E I had recently started so I stopped taking it. After a few days it started back up. After my first Endo I couldn't take my Allegra because they took a biopsy of my throat. Because of that biopsy I couldn't swallow my Allegra. Well my stomach wasn't bothering me so I thought maybe something in the Allegra had changed and that was what was making me so sick to my stomach. After a few days the nausea & pain started back up. Then I realized it was the medicine they gave me to knock me it - it has the anti-nausea properties. Dang! Here I thought I had it all figured out and was better.

I've tried eliminating one thing at a time here and there to see if it makes a difference but nothing does. I'm sure you've done the same. A friend of mine in New York has been going through something similar. She had an Endo and found out she has ulcers. They got her on a treatment and she is feeling much, much better. But she still doesn't have an appetite. She says she mostly eats mashed potatoes now.

If you want someone to talk to I'm only a PM away. I feel your pain, really.

Has anyone suggested a wheat allergy? A co-worker went through a terrible time and saw several doctors over quite a period of time until she was diagnosed with an allergy to wheat & wheat gluten. After eliminating them from her diet she's fine.

Similar thing happened to me about 8 years ago....diarrhea instead of vomiting every time I ate. I lived on PowerAde and saltines for about 5 months, lost 40 lbs. Had the million $$$ GI work-up, to no avail. I am convinced it was my gallbladder, although all GB tests were negative, as was endoscopy, colonoscopy, CT scan, abdominal ultrasound, tests for GI bugs, parasites etc. To this day, no one can give me a good answer about what it was, and I loved my doctors and they truly did everything they could and my medical doctor is a fantastic diagnostician and I even had him stumped.

About the only other thing I could possibly have attributed it to was Celebrex, which I had been taking for foot problems for about 6 months prior to this issue starting. I stopped the Celebrex because the foot issue cleared up and slowly the GI thing started to clear up as well. I will say though that my stomach is still more "delicate" than it used to be.

If you have not had an endoscopy, colonsocopy, ultrasounds etc., then your doc is missing the mark. And losing 35lbs. from vomiting is nothing for him to be happy about...it's the wrong way to lose weight.

GI things with women can be som difficult because there's the GI possiobility, the Ob/Gyn possibility...there's a lot of "stuff" in our abdominal cavity!

I hope you feel better soon. Gastro problems are no fun and I agree with those who are rather shocked your doctor is pleased you have lost 35 pounds because of vomiting. Weight loss might be good but that is not the way to do it!

I had some bad experiences with the military medical system when I was on active duty. I hope things have improved since I was in the Air Force.

Oh Tina I have not seen other posts about this--I am so sorry:hug: Almost as bad as being sick is kNOWING something is wrong nad not being able to figure out waht it is (and having doctors suggest it is "'just anxiety"). Keep pushing until they do figure it out. I let the doctors talk me into accepting that nothing was really wrong for 5 years before a new doctor did the right blood test and diagnosed me with such an easy to treat disease (of which I had classic symptoms--but I was about thirty years "too young" to have it so noone else ever thought to check it). I do hope you find out what the probelm is and feel better VERY soon.
