LOL, Jennifer us too. My db pulled me around a corner hit my eye. Then many years later, same db was pulling me on roller skates and I ran into a chain link fence right by my eyebrow. (are we sensing a trend here?)

It doesn't suprise me that your furbaby got sick on Marigold leaves, some plants can be deadly to pets. Clothes, yarn, etc....just doesn't effect them. My dog has eaten hairbands.

Oh! I have a good furbaby "food" story. It's sort've gross though. Actually I think I posted about it one other time. Anybody read the one about the cat that ate the string from a rolled roast? Well... took me awhile to figure out what the long white thing was that was appearing ..... uh.... well, you know. Before I thought, I gently pulled on the end of the string. That was one mad kitty, let me tell you!

Then there was Daffy and Tulee... the pygmy goats we had....for about a week. They decided the siding on the house made a great dessert.

OK, a little brother story. Some of you may remember when it was politacally correct to play with guns. Well in the 60's we had guns and holsters that also could hold little plastic bullets. Well, little brother decided to bite the bullet. You got it he swallowed a plastic bullet. Mom rushed him to the doctor and they took xrays. Saw that it was in an OK place and just told my mom to dad to watch the you know whats for a few days to make sure that it passed. My dad was one very unhappy man for 3 days.


As for the cat eating the homework, we had the "My dog ate my homework". Chris was in the 3rd grade and for a homework project for Presidents Day, they had to draw a log cabin and glue pretzel sticks on the paper so it would look like logs. Of course he laid it on the coffee table when he finished and the next morning the logs were missing. It was the first year of teaching for the teacher and I felt pretty bad writing the note explaining what had happened. Of course this was the same dog that ate the wrapped valentine box of chocolates for the teacher the year before. We left the teacher's gifts on the fireplace stoop(don't know what that step up is called in front of a fireplace)

If you all don't mind me asking but what is a furbaby?

Aw gosh ya'll....glad you like the updates!! They are fun to write but this is such a HUGELY busy week that it seems to take forever to catch up to you chatty people!!

I just finished the letters to the room moms for the meeting in the morning....songs are typed and copied for the cub camp out...scavenger hunt is printed...met with my Girl Scout assistant leader to plan the Girl's campout next weekend...the dog is wiped out from her vet visit this AM (she has been itching like mad for a few days...Frontline didn't help. Seems she is allergic to something!) and the resulting doggie prescriptions....kid's homework is done and dd started her "let's make recycled paper project....just remembered there is another cotillion this Friday and dd needs something to wear...need to make a list for craft items for the campout this weekend and next (anybody ever "trapped" a spiderweb before?) ...and ...OH...need to mail Kim's surprise tomorrow!!!
I am tired....going to sleep now....will update this nutty thread in the morning! You guys are just the BEST!!! Sleep well everybody...HEY BONNIE...YOU UP?!?! May the most stubborn amongst us win the battle of the last word tonight!!!

iluvorlando, exactly how do you swim in the snow? Did you call about subbing in the state of Florida today. What school district(county) do you want to sub in. When we lived there we lived in Seminole County.

Yeah, the ice cream treat filled two needs....1. I'm a little tired of being a single parent tonight. Not a bad day...but long.....dh is still on the computer and phone as I am typing....and 2. I STILL haven't finished this GS reading I said I was going to do about 15 thread pages ago!!!! So I need the rush to keep me up to read about 20 more pages then I won't mind the sugar crash!!!

OK, now I know exactly what a furbaby is. I have one and didn't know it. Mine is a shih tzu. So I learn something everyday on this thread.

Of course the last two nights it was Yensid that was doing the teaching but now I know that he isn't the only smarty pants in the bunch.

Hey Gang, I got to get some rest tonight also. I am subbing tomorrow for two classes of 9th grade history and 3 classes of AP US history. Shouldn't be too bad of a day. DD has another volleyball game tomorrow(I skipped the one today) so I won't be on until late tomorrow. Everyone have a good night.

Popping in quickly... sorry I didn't say much last night. I was (am) in a lousy mood because I cannot find a 64 MB compact flash card for my camera. I am slowly getting ready for a trip to Chicago and I wanted it. I am so mad at myself for losing it!
