The Disney World College Program

Do any of you know anyone who has participated in this? I think it sounds really cool, and I plan on doing it... even if I barely know what it's about. Does anyone knoew exactly what it is? My mom konws someone who went down there for six months, and then liked it so much they now work permantely down there.

I did the CP back in Spring 2005. The CP is a paying internship at Disney. It is sooooo much fun! I had an absolute blast doing it. A good website is www.wdwcollegeprogram.com- it has all the basics. But in a nutshell, I'll break it down. There are 2 different time periods of 2 different lengths for the CP. There are the Spring and Fall time periods. And for each one there are the regular and the advantage program. Basically Spring is January to May, Spring Advantage is January to August, Fall is August to early January, and Fall Advantage is May/June to early January. And there are a lot of different areas to work at: Merchandise, operations, custodial, entertainment, resorts, ect. But again, this is all listed at the website shown above. As for me, I did merchandise at Fantasyland in Spring 2005 (I extended over the summer). I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone considering doing the CP. Oh, before I forget, you need to be in good standing with your school (usually 2.0 GPA and higher) and be a full time/part time student, and be 18 at the time of arrival at the CP.

I recently applied for the Fall 06 Program and had my interview. If you are interested in doing it this fall I would look up the dates of the presentations ASAP. If a presentation isn't coming to a college near you you can always do the e-presentation and set up a phone interview.

The Disney recruiters are coming to my campus soon. I think that I want to apply for the CP. What are some of the questions that they ask in the interviews? (I want to be prepared.)
