Who has used the Disney Savings Account site? I've been checking it out a little,,,Are there any extra benefits to using it as opposed to using your savings account on your bank? At my bank I can earn interest on the money I put in our savings account. Just curious :)

You get a $20 gift card for every $500 you spend. So if your bank pays higher interest than that I'd go with a bank. I just opened one. If you have a target red card you can get 5% off your purchases. So if you purchase gift cards then add them to your Disney Savings Account your getting 5% off your purchases and the $20 per $500 spent.

It's $20 for every $1,000, so a maximum 2% return.

In order to get the 2% it has to be open for a certain amount of time prior to your vacation. I opened one becasue I bought a large number of $50 gift cards at Target over the holidays and this seemed like the easiest way to deal with all of them. It took some time, but at least I did not have to read the numbers to anyone over the phone and could "cut and paste" the information.
