Seems like a resounding NO.

I spoke with several CMs, some at kiosks, and one at the sales center, no one heard of the idea and all were quite skeptical.

Personally, I think that it may be feasible. There would need to be some serious re-modeling. The extra buildings that were used for classes would be kind of difficult to re-purpose, but it is a nice resort.

Would it cost less to remodel DI than it would to build Eagle Pines from scratch? If so, it may not be such a far-fetched idea.

Would you buy there and want to stay there for 40 years?

I'm sure the answer to that is dependant on the point levels that would be established. With low point levels (below OKW?) it might be a nice option. I've never stayed there to compare.

... but could DI possibly be the start of DVC II. Possibly something with a lower cost, less benifits, might even include the now idle POP CULTURE resort ??

hi: we stayed there a couple of nights in 93 or 94 before it was the disney institute. in my opinion, they would have to do a ton of remodeling/theming to make it more interesting. i haven't looked at these units since we stayed there, so possibly they are a lot better than i remember. if remodeled and at a lower per point cost and a lower point schedule than okw, it might be a viable option for some people.
